Russia Calls U.S. Paranoid, Democrats Become Paranoid

Watching the rioting by the leftist Democrats on the streets of America, and the wailing hysteria from the Democrat Politicians on television and in the print media, has to be a real head-scratcher to people watching from the outside.  Aren't the people who are involving themselves in property damage and making threats against anyone who supports President Donald Trump the same people who have called themselves "tolerant," and "fair" over the years?  Rush Limbaugh was skewered when he said on his radio program eight years ago that he hoped Barack Obama failed in instituting his progressive agenda.  Yet, now we have a significant proportion of the American people (and an unhealthy injection of illegal aliens) who are actively attempting to do what they can to ensure the new president fails without truly even knowing what his agenda is all about other than knowing that it stands in opposition of the Democrat Party.

As celebrations among the Democrat Party advocates, and their allies, reach seismic proportions regarding the resignation of U.S. National Security Adviser Michael Flynn, Russia's leadership is calling the liberal left's attacks "paranoia."

The resignation of Flynn was forced into existence when the Democrats freaked out because they found out that the new National Security Adviser had made contact with Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Sergey Kislyak prior to being appointed to his new position under the Trump administration.  The paranoia over Flynn's conversation with Kislyak follows a year-long paranoia by the Democrats that the Russians were trying to influence the American elections because the century-long enemy of the United States somehow preferred Trump in the White House over Hillary Clinton.  Never mind that the logic of the accusation is completely discombobulated.  Putin had more leeway to do as he pleased on the geopolitical front with a Democrat like Obama in office than he ever did under any Republican.  The very reality that the GOP is stronger on National Defense and the building of a strong military discounts any ridiculous thoughts that the Russians would prefer Trump over Hillary.  Nonetheless, the Democrat Party hysteria over possible Russian hacking into our election grew; apparently, to the point that the Democrats began to believe their own drivel.

The fear that the Trump administration is not free from foreign influence, according to Konstantin Kosachyov, chairman of Russia's foreign affairs committee, is “Russophobia.”

While Trump has yet to announce a clear policy regarding Russia, “it may have been easier with Flynn in that position” to find common ground, said Fyodor Lukyanov, head of a Kremlin foreign policy advisory board. Flynn’s focus on fighting Islamist extremism “could have helped Russia-U.S. cooperation,” he said.

Flynn’s a victim of his own mistakes, and more importantly, is own attempt to cover up his conversations with Russian diplomats, once the Democrats sank their teeth into him.  Flynn's difficulties are because he became reactive, and began to lie because he thought he had done something wrong.  The mere accusation of wrong-doing can do that to people.  In Flynn's case, a registered Democrat, he was probably shocked that his own party could be so vicious.

Oleg Morozov, a former senior Kremlin official who now serves on the foreign affairs committee in the Federation Council of the upper house, said that the “anti-Russian hysteria” in Washington is paranoia, and Russia is ready for dialogue in response to Trump’s “positive signals,” it’s under no illusions that improving relations “is a very difficult road,” he said.

The resignation is “a negative signal to Russia,” which continues to be seen “as a strategic opponent by the American establishment,” said Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the international affairs committee in the parliament’s lower house, according to state-owned RIA Novosti. While Trump’s rhetoric has been “constructive” toward Russia, “the coming weeks will demonstrate” whether he can establish good ties in practice, Slutsky said.

“Flynn was the most publicly positive figure on Russia among Trump’s key foreign policy staff and, given this, his departure could be a precursor of a more neutral/negative stance from Trump toward Russia,” Sberbank CIB analysts Tom Levinson, Iskander Lutsko and Vladimir Tsibanov said in a research note.

Flynn fell victim to an aggressive newspaper campaign in the U.S. fueled by “paranoia and witch-hunts,” Alexei Pushkov, a member of the Federation Council’s defense and security committee, said on Twitter. The target of the campaign isn’t Flynn “but relations with Russia,” he said.

In short, the Democrat Party's paranoia and self-assumed victory over Trump with Michael Flynn's resignation may have sabotaged the opportunity for the U.S. and Russia to start a new era during the Trump administration.  Don't get me wrong, I don't trust Putin and Russia, either.  But, on the same token, that does not mean you don't try to engage in dialogue and work with them to reach certain agreements to keep the fires of war on a low setting.  Yes, in some cases, negotiations are nearly a waste of time, but poking a stick at the enemy is not good policy, either.  I think what the Democrats are doing can be viewed as poking more than a stick at the Russian leadership.

The paranoia has not stopped, either.  The Democrats are not satisfied with the mere resignation of Michael Flynn.  They are treating the situation as if it is a full-blown act of treason, and now are demanding a Watergate-style investigation.  They are asking, "What did President Trump know, and when did he know it," as the New York Times headline reads.

I believe there is nothing there, and this is a case of the Democrats willingness to sacrifice America's interests for their own party's interests.  They are willing to say anything, and make allegations as wild as possible, to sabotage the Trump presidency, even if it means placing America on the precipice of war with a country Trump was going to be able to "make nice" with, all for the sake of protecting their narrative, and removing a President they have realized they cannot control, or maneuver in directions they desire.

The amazing part is that the Democrats are pulling this off without having any semblance of power in Washington.  They lost the White House, and continue to have no majority in either House of Congress.  Yet, like little termites, they are ripping into the very foundational structure of our government and the frail infrastructure of peace in order to claw their way back into power. . . or at least to destroy the power that the party who opposes them has.

The madness won't stop here.  They are going to treat Trump, and everything he does, in ways that makes their past treatment and hate of Richard Nixon and George W. Bush seem tame.

"Nothing about this resignation, or resignations that could occur in the future, precludes the Senate Intelligence Committee from continuing to investigate General Flynn, or any other campaign official who may have had inappropriate and improper contacts with Russian officials prior to the election," said Senator Mark Warner of Virginia, the ranking Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee.  "It is clear that our task is more urgent than ever."

In a joint statement, Representative John Conyers Jr. of Michigan (the same guy who, regarding Obamacare, said, "I love these members, they get up and say, ‘Read the bill ... What good is reading the bill if it's a thousand pages and you don't have two days and two lawyers to find out what it means after you read the bill?'"), the ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, and Representative Elijah E. Cummings (who summed up Benghazi by saying, "Death is a part of life") of Maryland, the ranking Democrat on the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, said, "We in Congress need to know who authorized his actions, permitted them and continued to let him have access to our most sensitive national security information despite knowing the risks.  We need to know who else within the White House is a current and ongoing risk to our national security."

Could you imagine what would have happened if the Democrats were even half this concerned when the investigation regarding Hillary Clinton's illegal servers and email account was underway?  She was allegedly using the emails to communicate with our enemies, placing a great risk on our national security, and when the bloodhounds began sniffing close by, she suddenly lost or wiped or deliberately erased the evidence.  Were these very same Democrats not concerned back then about sensitive national security information?

The Democrats have also turned their accusations against the Republican Congress.  "While Congressional Republicans have turned a blind eye to their constitutional duty to conduct oversight on these issues (it amazes me how the Democrats hate the Constitution, until they think sounding 'constitutional' will make them look good), we Democrats believe that this new disclosure warrants a full classified briefing by all relevant agencies, including the Department of Justice and the FBI, as soon as possible and certainly before Thursday, February 16.  We are communicating this request to the Department of Justice and the FBI this evening."

Again, we must ask, how serious would Hillary Clinton's crimes have had to become for the Democrats to be this serious about her crimes as a threat to national security?

Elizabeth Warren then doubled-down on Twitter to remind us of her support for the Democrat Party Narrative about the alleged Russian influence on the 2016 Presidential Election - in an attempt to add more seriousness to what is going on - likely an attempt to make it look like the Republicans think national security is some kind of little game.

Representative Eric Swalwell of California, the lead Democrat on the CIA subcommittee of the House Intelligence Committee continued the paranoia of the Democrats, saying, "For the sake of our nation's future, our intelligence and law enforcement community must determine whether Donald Trump's loyalties lie with us or the Russians."

Remember, as per Trevor Loudon's investigation he reveals in his book and film titled "Enemies Within," we have over a hundred Democrats in the United States Congress who have ties to the Democrat Socialists of America and Communist Party USA.  In other words, the Democrats are accusing Trump of being in cahoots with the Russians when the history of the Democrat Party from the start of the last century to the present day is rife with Democrats being shoulder to shoulder with the Russians (socialists, communists, etc.).

Unfortunately, the anti-Trump sickness dug up by the Democrats in their mock paranoia (I say "mock" because the paranoia is an act specifically designed to sabotage the Trump presidency) has spread across the aisle to folks like John McCain (who is listed as being one of the six Republicans paid by Hillary Clinton to sabotage Trump during the election, by the way).  McCain said, regarding Flynn's troubles, "General Flynn's resignation is a troubling indication of the dysfunction of the current national security apparatus.  General Flynn's resignation also raises further questions about the Trump administration's intentions toward Vladimir Putin's Russia, including statements by the President suggesting moral equivalence between the Untied States and Russia despite its invasion of Ukraine, annexation of Crimea, threats to our NATO allies, and attempted interference in American elections."

Trump, in response to the attacks, revealed that he realizes the enemy is within.

The Republicans have realized the resignation of Flynn was the result of baseless attacks by the Democrat Party, but are stepping lightly.  No need to give the Democrats fuel for their accusations and witch-hunt.  The GOP has also realized that the real crime here is not what Flynn did, but the automatic reflex to go into cover-up mode.  Like with Bill Clinton, what was most disconcerting was not that President Clinton got oral service from Monica Lewinsky in the Oval Office, but that he lied about it, afterward.

House Speaker Paul Ryan focused on the cover-up regarding Flynn, and focused on Flynn's attempt to mislead Vice President Mike Pence on the contents of his conversations with the Russian ambassador.

"You cannot have a national security adviser misleading the vice president and others," he told reporters.  "As soon as this person lost the president's trust, the president asked for his resignation, and that was the right thing to do."

Michael Steele, former chairman of the Republican National Committee, however, was one of the Republicans who either fell for the Democrat Party's deception and hysteria, or is trying to play nice to protect his image in the eyes of the establishment:

The Democrats are playing with fire. . . and war.  Their games are having an impact on an international scale.  They are literally risking our relationships with countries like Russia for their own political narrative, and to sabotage a U.S. President for the sake of returning to power.  General Tony Thomas, head of the military's Special Operations Command, told a military conference that the insanity is rippling through our national defense.  "Our government continues to be in unbelievable turmoil," he said.  "I hope they sort it out soon because we're a nation at war."  He insisted our Special Operations Forces are staying focused, despite the pandemonium being waged in Washington.

According to the New York Times, Kellyanne Conway has admitted to the Trump administration knowing about Flynn trying to cover-up his conversations with the Russian diplomat, but had Flynn in briefings, anyway:

The whole thing has taken on a life of its own, and public opinion among less informed voters who don't recognize the willingness of the Democrats to go to any length to protect their narrative, agenda and power may be influenced.  That is what the Democrats are hoping for.  Create so much confusion and scandal, regardless of if any of it is true, to kill the Trump presidency, and regain the White House as they did in 2008 - while riding a wave of controversy they created against the Republican President.

All they need is a little doubt when it comes to public opinion.  Doubt, and a willingness to believe lies carefully crafted, and disguised as the truth.  Besides, the Democrats had to get rid of Flynn.  He once said that fear of Muslims is rational, and the leftists, and their Muslim Brotherhood allies, just can't have that kind of islamophobia going on in their neck of the woods.
