Trump Meets with Russian Diplomat

As I watched the press conference regarding Trump's meeting with Vladimir Putin's top diplomats, the leftists of the press instead asked about the firing of FBI Director James Comey.  The press was let in after the Russian diplomats had departed, and President Trump instead greeted reporters with former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger (not a good man to be hanging out with, if you are trying to fight against globalism).

Trump responded to the questions about Comey stating the firing was because Comey wasn't doing a good job, and that his decision to fire Comey the day before his meeting with the Russian diplomats did not affect the meeting "at all."

I thought the Democrats hated Comey?  Now, suddenly, they compare the firing of Comey to Nixon's "Saturday Night Massacre"?

Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov was ushered into the White House through the West Executive entrance, well out of range for reporters to ask questions. Sergey Kislyak, the Russian ambassador to the U.S., was also present.

Lavrov also had a separate meeting with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson.  The meeting follows a similar meeting in Moscow last month, after which Tillerson said relations with Russia were at a low and needed to be rebuilt.

The primary topic between President Trump and Lavrov during their meeting was Syria.

The White House meeting with Trump, in the minds of the liberal leftist media and politicians is further evidence that Trump is buddies with Russia, who they assert interfered with the 2016 Election.  The meeting was actually initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin who asked Trump to meet with Lavrov when the two leaders spoke by phone last week.

The Trump administration views the meeting between Trump and Lavrov as being a sign of some progress, since our relationship with Russia has been terrible.
