The liberal left machine has been working steadily to gain control of Donald J. Trump ever since he first burst on the political scene a couple years ago.
The Democrats, and their leftist, statist cohorts who dare to call themselves Republicans, have been in a tizzy ever since Donald Trump became President. He's not a part of the machine. He's not willing to play ball. And they have had nothing to control him with.
But, they are trying.
One way has been to remove any influences that may remind Trump that his campaign promises were conservative. H.R. McMaster and General John Kelly have been working diligently to remove conservatives from the bureaucracy, but keeping the leftist holdovers, according to a friend of mine who still has ties to the intelligence community, as well as a writer friend of mine, James Simpson.
Even Fox News has reported how people are being kept away from Trump who may sidestep him away from what the liberal left statists want from him.
According to Fox News, that includes placing longtime Trump associate Omarosa Manigault on a White House no-fly list, which in turn would keep her from attending "serious meetings."
While a senior White House official adamantly denied the report, calling it "completely false," the Democrats and their leftist minions have been getting desperate, and are willing to do whatever it takes to get Trump under control, and away from any advice of their political opposition.
Remember, this is not just some political disagreement to the liberal left commie socialists. THIS IS WAR!
Whatever the Democrats have been up to, as the Republicans have been unwilling to support Trump's conservative agenda, the Democrats have managed to reel Trump into a few agreements of late.
According to Bloomberg, President Trump struck a short-term debt-limit deal with Democrats, setting up a likely confrontation with the GOP in December.
In my opinion, the debt limit should be gone, and the focus should be on reducing federal spending, not increasing it every chance they get. I understand the reasons for the automatic increases, largely based on the foul idea of baseline budgeting, but to abandon the Republicans and to make a deal on the debt limit with the Democrats without the GOP present is something Trump should not have done. . . especially if the Republicans are right when they say that the "Democrats got exactly what they wanted.” Those were the words of House Freedom Caucus head Mark Meadows, who added that the deal “gives them the greatest leverage in the world to get exactly what they want later."
The proposal was by Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and his House counterpart, Nancy Pelosi, designed to tie a three-month suspension of the debt limit to a Hurricane Harvey relief measure -- and throw in a stopgap continuing resolution to fund the government into December.
According to the Associated Press, the deal made with the Democrats will "protect thousands of younger immigrants from deportation and fund some border security enhancements — not including Trump’s long-sought border wall."
The deal with Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer and House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi following a White House dinner that Republican lawmakers weren’t invited to attend will essentially grant amnesty to nearly 800,000 illegal aliens brought into this country as kids who had benefited from former President Barack Obama’s Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, or DACA, program, which provided temporary work permits and shielded recipients from deportation.
The agreement cancels out Trump's claim he was ending the DACA program (and his ill-advised dare to Congress to come up with a legislative fix before the statuses of the so-called “Dreamers” begin to expire).
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders disputed the claim of the Democrats, stating “excluding the wall was certainly not agreed to.”

Republican leaders Paul Ryan and Mitch McConnell were humiliated, and considered the move a betrayal. From their point of view, Trump is not a conservative by any stretch of the imagination. To be honest, I've been saying the same about Ryan and McConnell.
One can also point fingers at Trump's lack of conservatism regarding DACA, which some are considering a campaign promise broken based on what they are seeing by the billionaire who lives in the White House. The central promise of his campaign, and the language that thrust Trump to the top of the GOP ticket, was the promise of a wall to stop a flood of people who are a national security risk from coming into the country, while deporting the ones already here illegally (including the Dreamers), especially if they have evidence of a criminal record, or ties to gangs, drug cartels, or terrorist groups.
Has Trump abandoned the reality he once recognized regarding the dangers of unchecked illegal immigration both economically and to the receiving population and cashed in on the liberal left's emotional roller coaster and central claim to their screams of "Trump is a racist!"?
While I am one to hope that his campaign pitches were not just lies and empty promises, we have to realize that when Arnold Schwarzenegger grabbed the reins of the California governorship, it took the Democrats slightly less than six months to turn the terminator into a purring kitten willing to give in to the unions and the leftist demands without even a whimper.
We are approaching the eight month mark with President Trump, and the Democrats have visibly turned up the heat, as of late.

So, we must ask, "what is true?"
If Trump's abandonment of his central promises is true, and nearly a million kids (which means it will extend to their families, too, once the paperwork starts flying) just got a promise of amnesty, Trump's support structure among conservatives may be lost, and his presidency will be seen as just another loss to the leftist establishment machine that just keeps being fed and fed and fed with leftist fertilizer, regardless of who occupies the presidency.
While I am not going to fully believe the same mainstream media and Democrats who were also absolutely, beyond a shadow of a doubt, convinced that Hillary Clinton would be the next President of the United States, I am also not going to doubt them too harshly. . . we know how convincing for some people and politicians their B.S. emotional pitches can be. One simply wonders, has President Donald J. Trump fallen for their luring and emotional progressive wiles?
I hope not.
