Investigation Falling Apart?

By Douglas V. Gibbs

We are so far past the presidential election that the crying snowflakes after the defeat of Hillary Clinton in the GOP victory that few expected have run out of tears.  Hillary blamed the Electoral College.  She blamed white people.  She blamed white women for listening to their white husbands and white bosses.  She blamed Russia.  She blamed Wikileaks.  She blamed everyone, but herself.

I suppose you can't blame yourself when you did everything humanly possible, legally and illegally, to win the election.

The Democrats really didn't care if it was Hillary Clinton, or another one of their radicals, just as long as their 16 year plan to fundamentally transform America was not interrupted.  The Democrat Party was stunned when their plan was interrupted in November of 2016, not just because somehow the Republicans pulled off a win, but because they did it with the most unlikely of candidates; Donald J. Trump.

Like a jaded lover, the DNC is willing to do anything to avenge what they believe to be a temporary setback.  They have lied, murdered, and stole.  They have alleged President Trump is a rapist, traitor, and liar.  And now, they have filed a lawsuit accusing the Republicans of targeting Clinton for political destruction.

The lawsuit names the Russians, the Trump campaign, and Wikileaks as working together in an alleged conspiracy to win in 2016.  Conspiracy between Trump campaign officials and Russian military spies adds to the already nutty accusations by the liberal left.  Moscow's spies, the complaint alleges, helped the Trump team hack into Democrat computer networks, and ultimately proved to damage the chances of the Democrat Party nominee.

From their point of view, it had to be something so monstrous, because they can't think of any other way they could have lost.  The Democrats don't think it is possible that the American people voted for Trump.  The Democrats can't imagine Americans voted in such incredible numbers strong enough to overcome all of their own illegal activities that they had in place to ensure the election of the heir apparent to Obama's regime, Hillary Clinton.

The Democrat Party is like a wild animal that has been broken and beaten, cornered with no escape.  There is no money.  There are no superstars waiting in the wings to lead the next charge.  Their platform has been exposed as a failure, and economic prosperity is on the rise under GOP leadership.  They have nothing left to use in 2018 to ensure a win.  All they can do is attack Trump, and claim the 2018 mid-term will be an election (as they did with Hillary) they can't lose.  Their only weapon is to be anti-Trump, and since people are laughing at them, they have to make the allegations so outrageous that somebody has to take notice and believe their unicorn story of fabulous intrigue and treason.

It's sort of like Hollywood.  Movie-goers are dropping off, disappointed in an industry that has stopped telling stories, so in response Hollywood has packed their movies with amazing effects and explosive imagery.  Yet, the crowds continue to thin.  Like the Democrats, Hollywood doesn't understand that their problem isn't that the lights aren't brighter, or that the explosions aren't more massive.  They don't understand that the problem is that they have left the basics.  Hollywood has lost its originality, and its ability to simply tell a story.

The Democrats have lost their way.  While they throw into the mix explosive news and incredible special effects, they don't realize that the problem is they have left the basics.  The Democrats have lost their ability to debate in the arena of ideas.  They no longer know how to tell a story of America.  They have abandoned America, and are in this whole thing, now, to simply promote foreign ideas that Americans reject, and liberty cannot exist in.

Mueller and the Democrats have nothing to prove their wild accusations.  We know that the Democrats realize there was no collusion because of the emergence of the DNC lawsuit.  It's a last ditch effort to keep people from realizing the truth.  Mueller has failed, and the crowds don't care about the whining Democrats.  Like Hollywood, they've thrown some explosive special effects into the scene with the hope it'll maintain everyone's attention.

Their narrative has been rejected, so instead of returning to politics, they've doubled down on their accusations of conspiracies.

The reality is that the scandals do not actually reside in the Trump administration, or the Republican Party.  The evidence emerging is showing a scandal of collusion between former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and FBI Director James Comey, who are also both very loyal to the Clinton Crime Family, and a whole litany of scandals throughout the Democrat Party.

North Carolina Republican Mark Meadows, chairman of the House Freedom Caucus and member of the Oversight Committee says there is a "growing body of evidence" supporting the claim of collusion among the Democrats.

“We have a number of documents, a growing body of evidence, that now would suggest that Director Comey, who under sworn testimony a number of times said, there was no coordination between Loretta Lynch’s DOJ and (Comey’s) FBI investigation,” stated Meadows.

“Not only was that false … but we have emails that would suggest that testimony was false, and at best misled the American public, at worst was lying to Congress,” he continued.

“And here we are today with emails, text messages that says even the ‘no coordination’ message that Director Comey put out on that infamous day in July was actually suggested by the Department of Justice,” added Meadows.

Text messages between FBI agent Peter Strzok and Democrat Attorney Lisa Page revealed the cards hidden up their sleeves the Democrats thought they held in secret in this evolving game of poker.  The texts spoke of the choreography of the Democrat Party's plans.  The revelations revealed secrets and treachery, and the use of technology to send messaging.  Texts were a small part of it.  Emails were also used, hence, the reason Hillary Clinton did all she could to destroy hers.  The evidence is swirling around the whole thing, and the Democrats have been trying to destroy all of it. . . but something is always left behind.  Morsels exist.  Crumbs always fall off the table.  A spotlight is beginning to shine on them.

Former FBI Director Comey, and fired Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, have both lied under oath, to federal officers, and in an attempt to protect their own skins, they seem to be turning on each other.  Their testimonies conflict each other.

In an attempt to protect Hillary Clinton (and Barack Obama) from criminal prosecution, they have wound up incriminating themselves.

A friend once told me, "It's not usually the scandal that catches the bad guys.  It's the cover-up, and the mistakes associated with the cover-up."

Democrat Party actors are running in circles, not sure what to do next.

Judicial Watch noticed, and now they have sued the Department of Justice for Comey-Mueller Communications.
Fired FBI Director Comey stated that he provided memos of his conversations with President Trump to Special Counsel Mueller and his team.
(Washington, DC)- Judicial Watch announced today that it filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the Justice Department for all records of communications relating to former FBI Director James Comey’s providing memoranda of his conversations with President Trump to Special Counsel Robert Mueller and his team. (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-00932)).
The suit was filed after the FBI informed Judicial Watch that it would neither “confirm nor deny” the existence of the materials for an August 4, 2017, FOIA request seeking:
All records of communications between former FBI Director James Comey and Special Counsel Robert Mueller, or members of SC Mueller’s investigative committee, relating to the return of memoranda of conversations, memoranda to the file or notes regarding same generated by Comey following conversations with government officials during his tenure as FBI Director.
On January 19, 2018, the FBI provided Judicial Watch a “Glomar” response, stating that it could, “neither confirm nor deny that the specific items you seek exist or do not exist as mere acknowledgment of these items would require the FBI to confirm or refute these assumptions,” which it claims could possibly interfere with law enforcement proceedings.
Comey’s involvement with the special counsel was first revealed on June 8, 2017, when the former FBI director testified to the Senate Intelligence Committee that he leaked memos of his conversations with President Trump “because (he) thought that might prompt the appointment of a special counsel.”
On January 23, 2018, The New York Times reported that, “Mr. Comey met last year with Mr. Mueller’s investigators to answer questions about memos he wrote detailing interactions with the president that had unnerved him.”
On June 13, 2017, Politico reported that Columbia University Law professor Daniel Richmond, a friend of James Comey, “turned over copies of the former FBI director’s explosive memos… to the FBI, sidestepping a request by congressional committees to deliver the materials to Capitol Hill.”
Judicial Watch currently has several other lawsuits pending that seek information regarding the “Comey memos:”
In June 2017, Judicial Watch filed a FOIA lawsuit seeking the memorandum written by former Director James Comey memorializing his meeting and conversation with President Trump regarding the FBI’s investigation of potential Russian interference in the 2016 United States presidential election (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:17-cv-01189)).
In July 2017, Judicial Watch filed a FOIA lawsuit seeking metadata of the “Comey memos” and related records-management information (Judicial Watch, Inc., v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 17-cv-01520));
In August 2017, Judicial Watch filed a FOIA lawsuit seeking the handling, storage, protection, dissemination, and/or return of classified information signed by Comey (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:17-cv-01624)).
In September 2017, Judicial Watch filed a FOIA lawsuit behalf of the Daily Caller News Foundation against the U.S. Department of Justice seeking memoranda allegedly written by former FBI Director James Comey regarding his discussions with President Donald Trump and Trump’s aides (Daily Caller News Foundation v. U.S. Department Justice (No. 1:17-cv-01830)).
In January 2018, U.S. District Judge James E. Boasberg ordered the FBI to turn over the “Comey memos” for in camera review by the court. In doing so, the court rejected arguments by the Sessions Justice Department to dismiss the lawsuits seeking the Comey information. On February 2, Boasberg ruled that the “Comey memos” would not be made public. Judicial Watch and the Daily Caller News Foundation are appealing the ruling.
In January 2018, Judicial Watch filed a FOIA lawsuit against the Justice Department for FBI records about Comey’s book, as well as records of communications between Comey and the FBI prior to and regarding Comey’s controversial June 2017 testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee (Judicial Watch v. U.S. Department of Justice (No. 1:18-cv-00220)).
“Did Comey improperly funnel his dishonest memos and collude with the Mueller special counsel operation as part of a vendetta against President Trump?” said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Why is the DOJ still protecting James Comey and the out-of-control Mueller operation?”
The Wall Street Journal reports that information emerging shows that FBI Director James Comey gave to a friend outside of the government memos that are considered classified (or were later labeled as classified), and that Comey redacted portions of those memos because he knew it was classified information.  Comey said he considered the memos to be personal, not government.

The friend was Daniel Richman, a former federal prosecutor, now a professor at Columbia Law School, is still a Democrat willing to fight for the leftist ideology.

The report confirms President Trump's accusations that, like Hillary, Comey mishandled classified information. According to a tweet by the President, "James Comey Memos just out and show clearly that there was NO COLLUSION and NO OBSTRUCTION. Also, he leaked classified information. WOW! Will the Witch Hunt continue?"

Comey was passing classified information to non-government persons, and Clinton was using a personal email server rather than a government account to pass classified information to God-knows-who.  But, Hillary was never charged because of interference by Comey (while he was still FBI Director).

No charges have been filed, despite all of the evidence, because the Democrats are still playing a game of three shells, and we still haven't figured out which shell the ball is under.

The deep state is deeper than we thought.  Comey's memos reveal that leakers infest the government.  It's beginning to look like the whole election was not filled with collusion between Trump and the Russians as much as it was being guided by collusion between the Democrats and their shady allies throughout government, and outside of government.

“Therefore, the Special Council was established based on an illegal act?” responded President Trump.  “Really, does everybody know what that means?”

The very legality of Mueller's counsel is in question.

Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein appointed special counsel Robert Mueller to the job, saying "public interest requires me to place this investigation under the authority of a person who exercises a degree of independence."

And as the investigation has proceeded, the reality is, it's looking like Trump was right when he called the whole thing a “hoax” and a “witch hunt,” as well as indicating he wants it to be over quickly.

Now, in the hopes of getting people to turn against the President, Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, was unconstitutionally raided, in the hopes he'd 'flip'.  The thing is, Cohen hasn't.

Tom Fitton of Judicial watch says, "Just pardon everyone."  It would be amazing the kind of information that would emerge when people realize that if they talk, jail won't be in the cards.

  1. Doug,
You did a fantastic reporting job on the time line of the events. The deep state is now in a state of fear they'll be charged for their crimes to undermine the Trump administration.

    Thank you,
