The United States of America is not a democracy, we are a republic. In democracies, the mob rules, and the problem with the mob is that once the mob realizes it can vote itself gifts from the treasury it will do so, and it will continue to do so, even if it means destroying the free market system that is responsible for the presence of those gifts in the first place.
When the takers overtake the producers, the producers will cease to produce, and the system will collapse.
Once the mob has control, they will vote away liberty, and vote away our rights, and demand more welfare from the government. It's a drug addiction, and once a person is sticking the needle of entitlements into their arm, they become addicted, and will do anything to keep it coming.
The Democrat Party has taught Americans to not only use these programs, but to make them our way of life.
The republic will die if this continues.
