Leaving California?

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

My wife and I said before the election that if Gavin Newsom won the governorship, and the Democrats took a super-majority control over the two houses of the State legislature, we would likely move out of California.  My sister moved to Arizona a year and a half ago.  My brother is also talking about moving to Arizona.  My folks ware going to Arkansas.

We all know people who have left, and as conservatives, we have all considered leaving the State as the Democrats continue to drive what was once a Golden State into the ground.

In truth, the only thing holding us back is the fact that my wife's parents continue to live (their lives are both near the midnight hour).

Well, there is that, and the willingness to make the leap in the first place.  It's a scary thing to walk away from a place you were born and raised.

Last night, while addressing my Corona Constitution Class, I decided to backtrack a little.  I told them I am not quite ready to leave, just yet.

If I leave, how long before the cancer of leftism in California spreads further through the country?

As a warrior, should I not stand and fight where the disease is at its worst?

In short, we're not going anywhere, just yet.  But, the socialist beast has devoured nearly all of the Golden State.  It makes the desire to flee the madness stronger.  But, when faced with evil, should I not be fighting instead of fleeing?

I wonder how long it will be before the collapse in California, as a result of Democrat Party radical policies, begins to more closely resemble Detroit, or Venezuela.

  1. I agree with your assessment. We need to stay and fight. For me it is easier cause I am in a red state. But what I have been noticing, is that even texas, which has been consistently red state has been turning bluer with this last election. Scary to say the least. But I am continuing to fight here, even though I want to move to the southwest, and back to Albuquerque. Until then, my fight continues here.

I don't have the audience that you do, but I keep trying. My daily updates, that I continue to try to improve are hitting the airwaves daily *weekdeays* and you are welcome to use them as filler if you so desire or if you find one of interest. I have been doing them on Facebook Live but also have now started to put them onto a new platform to get more out there on Bit-Chute.com, under NWCRSVhttps://www.bitchute.com/video/23kk7ElXYw0Q/IDEOS. The url for the latest one is here.
