I laugh at the various COVID-19 protocols around the country. The liberal left Democrats say they are using science, so let's ask a question. In a stadium like the Superdome, which can hold over 74,000 fans, what's the difference when it comes to 6,000 or 3,000 fans?
How about California telling teams that no fans, including family, are allowed in the stadium? The Rose Bowl teams are threatening a boycott, and the Rose Bowl is thinking about moving to Arlington, Texas. The governor of California refused to relent, even under such a threat. The question was regarding maybe a hundred people in the massive stadium. New Mexico did the same regarding the New Mexico Bowl, so the game was moved to Frisco, Texas. The Hawaii Bowl was cancelled in 2020, you know, due to the threat of a disease that has a better than 99% recovery rate.
Back to the NFL, the head coach and most of the defensive coaches of the Detroit Lions have been "deemed" to be in close contact with folks who had COVID-19, so, they are not allowed on the field ... you know, at a game where there are only players and other coaches on the field, and fans are way up in the stands (if there are any fans there in the first place).
Overall, in college football 139 regular season games were cancelled in 2020. Eleven post-season bowl games were cancelled. And in the NFL, only 18 of the 32 teams have allowed any attendance at their home games at all, with five or six of them reaching more than what they would get in one game all season long. Science, my ass. It has nothing to do with science, and everything to do with being able to dictate terms. Tyranny in action, be it at sports games, restaurants, or other small business ventures. Destroy the little guys, and keep the individuals from doing things together, and you encourage collectivism, socialism, and globalism.
