Al Gore Lied About Corn Ethanol

By Douglas V. Gibbs

A Democrat lied? Say it isn't so!

Man-made Global Warming is a myth, and the grand hoax continues to crumble piece by piece. Now, it's the scam of Corn Ethanol that has been exposed for the lie that it is.

Al Gore has decided to no longer support the idea of corn-ethanol subsidies. He even went so far as to admit that his original endorsement was nothing more than political pandering.

Gore recently told an audience, “It is not a good policy to have these massive subsidies for first-generation ethanol…First-generation ethanol I think was a mistake. The energy conversion ratios are at the best very small.”

He continued: “One of the reasons I made that mistake is that I paid particular attention to the farmers in my home state of Tennessee, and I had certain fondness for the farmers in the state of Iowa because I was about to run for president.”

Ethanol, a biofuel made by extracting sugar from corn, has been linked to rising food prices. Corn is an important part of America's food industry, used not only as a food item in its own right, but also to feeding livestock. By using the corn to manufacture ethanol it has adversely affected food prices.

Now, Al Gore has admitted such to be true, and that his support for corn ethanol was strictly political.

Until now, for more than ten years, knowing that his actions were damaging to the economy through the rise in food prices, Al Gore has supported this expensive bad policy because he figured it would help him get elected president.

Typical for a Democrat, if you ask me.
