American F-22 Jets Join South Korea Drills

US reportedly sends F-22 jets to join South Korea drills

The United States has reportedly sent F-22 stealth fighter jets to South Korea to join Seoul forces in military drills as North Korea warns the Korean Peninsula has entered "a state of war."

The F-22 Raptors were deployed to Osan Air Base in South Korea from Japan on Sunday to support ongoing U.S.-South Korean military drills, Reuters reports.

North Korea has increased its threatening rhetoric in recent weeks, including vowing to launch a nuclear strike on Washington. In a statement released Sunday, U.S. military in South Korea urged North Korea to restrain itself.

"(North Korea) will achieve nothing by threats or provocations, which will only further isolate North Korea and undermine international efforts to ensure peace and stability in Northeast Asia," the statement said.

Meanwhile, North Korea said Saturday its armed forces, "will blow up U.S. bases for aggression in its mainland and in the Pacific operational theatres including Hawaii and Guam."

The country's young leader, Kim Jong Un, also threatened to shut down a border factory complex that is the last major symbol of inter-Korean cooperation, according to the Associated Press.

Health Care and the Free Market: Are Health Savings Accounts as Dr. Benjamin Carson Suggests The Key?

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The problem with health care in America sits partially with insurance companies, partially with tort law, and partially with government intrusion into the industry.  It is being articulated by government that if you are against a larger infestation by government into the health industry, you love the insurance companies, which we have been told are all evil.  But we know that nationalizing medicine as is being proposed by the American Left is a dangerous path, as shown by the failure of such systems worldwide and throughout history, as well as the alarming news we keep hearing constantly about the Affordable Care Act as its oppressive secrets bubble to the surface.  Is the argument that health insurance is what we've got to work with so we are stuck with it as the only option available other than Obamacare?

This writer has argued that the problem does in fact lie with insurance, but transferring the powers of insurance companies to government is not the answer.  If insurance companies can screw up the system, what kind of damage will government cause?

Health Care works best when the Free Market is in control, and the government's role is as small as necessary.  Before insurance rose to dominate health care in America, the relationship in medicine was a direct one between the patient and the provider.  Doctors made house calls, and treatment options remained reasonably priced, because the doctors had to participate in the free enterprise system, competing against each other for the potential customers.  They had to keep the prices within reach of the customers, provide high quality services, and smile and have a good bedside manner.  With insurance paying, and malpractice lawyers hovering over every doctor visit, the industry has learned to cover their butt at every opportunity, over prescribing procedures, and digging far into the deep pockets of the insurance companies.  Insurance rates have risen, as has medical costs.  What do you care?  What does the doctor care?  The very rich insurance company is paying the bill.

What would happen if the patient had more skin in the game when it came to the price of the bill?  Would they go to the clinic rather than the more expensive emergency room?  Would they hold a hand up and stop the doctor from ordering so many procedures, and only pursue what is deemed as necessary?  Would the customer go to the doctor for every fever, hiccup, and bump or bruise?

Dr. Benjamin Carson has been pushing for Health Savings Accounts, which place the interest of the patient economically back into the mix.  If the patient is more involved in the price, the patient, he contends, will make a more responsible decision regarding their health care.  Give them the account when they are born, he says, and allow it to be transferred to posterity when they die.  Is this the path back to the way it used to be?  Will this return health care back to a free market style system?

I think so.

CIA Director John Brennan a Muslim Convert. . . Why Isn't Anyone Talking About It?

By Douglas V. Gibbs

According to ex-FBI Agent John Guandolo, who wrote the first Muslim Brotherhood training manual for the FBI, John Brennan, Obama’s new CIA Director, converted to Islam while working in Saudi Arabia.

It makes since that Obama would put yet another devout Muslim in the Executive Branch.  There are already six others on Obama's Cabinet, not including Hillary Clinton’s Islamic radical and buddy Huma Abedin.  Obama believes that making nice-nice with Islam will make them all just love us, and it will make them quit attacking "The Great Satan."  And now that Barack's Middle East ideas have failed as we saw in Benghazi, Libya, when Americans were murdered without as much as a twitch of Obama's trigger finger, and really throughout the entire Middle East, due to Obama appeasing Islam, rather than realize the truth, he is doubling down.

Barack Obama has decided to pack the U.S. Government with Muslims.  I am thinking he believes that will get the Islamists to back off, to act in a manner more peaceful with us, but what he is doing is allowing Islam to infiltrate our government.  He is setting up our destruction.

Some may even argue that it is all a part of the grand plan.  Barack Obama may actually be inviting Islam into leadership roles for his own reasons, which may include the Islamization of America.

So why isn't anyone talking about this?  Why hasn't the media picked up on Brennan's conversion to Islam?

Has Brennan admitted it?

Of course not, and he won't.  Muslims commit taqiyah, which is to tell untruths in order to further the goals of Islam.  While the liberal left calls the Brennan conversion to Islam a conspiracy theory, John Guandolo calls it a fact.  And if indeed Brennan is a Muslim, and now he is the new CIA Director, what does that do in regards to our war with the Islamic Jihad?  How do we protect ourselves from the enemy when the enemy holds positions deep in our governmental structure?

Islam is a political ideology that masks as a religion, and it uses deception to increase its domination.  It is in Islam's nature to conquer, to divide, and to consume.  The ultimate goal is a worldwide domination of Islam over all other people's.  World Domination.  World Conquest.  A massive worldwide caliphate is the goal of the Islamists.

To achieve their ends, Islam teaches Muslims to infiltrate the enemy's cities and forums and plant the seeds of discord and sedition.  Islam is always in a state of war against non-Muslims, and so the deception is perfectly acceptable to the Muslim authority.  Committing taqiyah is not considered as lying against or denouncing the tenants of Islam because it is done to undermine the enemy's resistance and level of mobilization.

The invaders downplay their connection to Islam, call themselves peaceful, as they create a split in the host country. In fact, the aim is to convince the targeted nations that Jihad is not even aimed at them.  The infiltrators will say that attackers acting violently in the name of Islam are just radicals, twisting the tenets of Islam.  We are told this lie, and we have become convinced of this lie.

Free Republic: They convinced many Jews that they will be protected from Christians, and they convinced many Christians that Jews were the mortal enemies, because they killed Issa (Jesus). They convinced the Aramaics, Copts, and Hebrews that the enemy is Greece, and signed peace agreements with the Bysantines Greeks at the expense of Maronite Aramaics, etc.

They convinced the knitted diversity of India to degrade into civil war by introduction of a variant Buddhist / mystical Islam (Sufism which is decried as "deviant Islam" used to ease the transition of new recruits from local communities) creating divisions (based on Muslim - Non Muslim) eventually fomenting unrest and chaos in the land to prepare it for waves of armed Invasion (Mohammad bin Qasim, Mahmud Ghaznavi, etc.).

Even today, India is bitterly divided and getting slowly Islamised as battle lines form between hordes of overzealous Muslims (armed and trained in madrasahs) and the more pacifist civilians of urban dwellings.

This Jihadic agency of subversion was one of the most fascinating and efficient arms of the conquest. In less than four decades, the Middle East fell to the Arab-Islamic rule [since Arab society was divided again between pagan and Muslim resulting in nephews and sons killing their uncles and fathers in cold blood] followed by North Africa and Central Asia [this was the era of hordes like tribal conquests where barbaric savages invaded pacifist civilians in towns of major civilizations; the same scenario replayed itself against the Arab-Islamic world with the Invasion of the Mongolian hordes].

Islam has fooled those with scales over their eyes, and Barack Obama is an accomplice.  By appointing a Muslim, of which I believe Obama is fully aware of Brennan's conversion, the federal government's ability to provide for the common defense of the sovereign states has been severely hampered.  We are being infiltrated, and nobody in the media is willing to talk about it, except me.

Added Note: The opening of my Constitution Radio Program on March 30, 2013, after a few words about the Sons of Liberty Tavern in Norco, was all about Brennan.  Are other radio hosts talking about this?

Of course not.

Happy Easter: He is Risen

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Jesus was born to die.  John 3:16 reads: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

I Corinthians 15:4 reads: And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures.

Jesus Christ is the only figure in history to conquer death.  He is also the only one ever to perform miracles that involved creation.  He made a man blind from birth to see, and this angered the Jewish leaders of the day, because such a miracle required the creation of the parts of the eye necessary to make this man see again.  Creation, such as that, could only come from God.

Matthew 1:23 reads: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel (which means, God with us).

God was made flesh and walked among us as Jesus.  He was born of humble beginnings in a manger, and He died on The Cross with criminals.  Yet, He was a King.  The King of Kings.  He knowingly succumbed to the torture of Pilate, and lived his life knowing that he would be gruesomely crucified on a cross.  He was beaten and pierced as payment for the sin of the world, and when the worse had come, when an average man would curse his abusers, and lash out at those causing him pain, Jesus said, "Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. (Luke 23:34)

The gift of salvation was paid with a horrible price, and all we must do is ask, and we shall receive.

Easter celebrates the moment that He rose from the dead, conquering death as only God with us could.  Jesus Christ is risen, and alive, and at the right hand of The Father.

Romans 6:23 reads: For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

He was born, crucified, and rose from the tomb for you.  All other religious figures lie rotted in their graves, but our Savior is Alive.

Google Places Cesar Chavez Above Jesus

By Douglas V. Gibbs

After making some breakfast, I sat down at my desk to prepare for my Sunday Morning Constitution Study Radio Program.  I flipped on the television, and changed the station over to a place I don't get to watch often, Fox News.  When a news story I was interested in flashed across the screen, I went to Google to look up the particulars on the item.  I expected to see Easter decorations around the Google logo, but instead, it was an image of Cesar Chavez.  It seemed to me a puzzling thing to do on Easter.

Cesar Chavez was an important labor organizer in Los Angeles who died in 1993, and is an important historical figure.  He co-founded the organization now known as the United Farm Workers union (UFW), and I am in no way diminishing the importance of his efforts.

President Barack Obama in 2001 proclaimed March 31 to be “Cesar Chavez Day," as a part of his push to make Americans "serve" their communities.

Fine, whatever, but to place Cesar Chavez on the site instead of Jesus Christ on Easter?

It's a free market, and Google can do whatever they want.  I am not demanding that they change it.  But the very fact that Google did this is very telling.  We already know Google is biased, and leans way left.  It takes pages after pages sometimes to find an article not written with a liberal slant on the search engine.  I get it, the people that run Google are so far to the left that Christianity is a minor part of society to these people.

Next, I am half expecting them to put Muhammad up on Constitution Day, or Voltaire instead of Christ on Christmas.

As a free market, I hope the consumers act as needed, and Google reaps the repercussions for their decisions.  Actions have consequences.

Sons of Liberty Tavern, Norco, California

New friends have introduced me to a spectacular place to go for a craft beer experience like no other.  All of the beer is brewed by the establishment, and all of them are spectacular.

The tavern provides an environment like no other.  It is not some dark, noisy bar where you have to shout to hear others.  The tavern is reminiscent of the colonial pubs around the time of our nation's founding.  The glass sizes are generous, while the prices are low.  The decorations are patriotic, and the conversation is optimistic Americanism.  On Wednesday Nights the tavern hosts a movie night where patriotic productions and documentaries are offered.  Special Events, including food, and music, is also a regular occurrence.

Join me, sometime, at Sons of Liberty, and let them know you found out about them through Douglas V. Gibbs, the Constitution Guy.  And also, be looking out for a new Constitution Class at the tavern, coming soon.  I will keep you posted.

Refuse to Stomp on Jesus? Get Suspended

Devout Mormon suspended from college class for refusing to ‘stomp on Jesus’

Ryan Rotela, a devout Mormon attending Florida Atlantic University at Davie, Fla., was suspended from his intercultural communications class for refusing to stomp on a piece of paper with the name "Jesus" written on it, CBS affiliate WPEC reported Thursday.

According to WPEC, the class was conducting an exercise that was spelled out in the textbook, “Intercultural Communication: A Contextual Approach, 5th Edition.”

Fox News' Todd Starnes obtained a synopsis of the lesson.

“Have the students write the name JESUS in big letters on a piece of paper,” the lesson instructed. “Ask the students to stand up and put the paper on the floor in front of them with the name facing up. Ask the students to think about it for a moment. After a brief period of silence instruct them to step on the paper. Most will hesitate. Ask why they can’t step on the paper. Discuss the importance of symbols in culture."

While some in the class completed the exercise, Rotela did not, citing his religious convictions. He wrote "Jesus" on a piece of paper and placed it on the floor, but that was as far as he would go.

“He had us all stand up and he said ‘stomp on it,’” he said. “I picked up the paper from the floor and put it right back on the table."

According to Starnes, Rotela told his instructor, Deandre Poole, that the exercise was insulting and offensive.

“I said to the professor, ‘With all due respect to your authority as a professor, I do not believe what you told us to do was appropriate,’” he told WPEC. "‘I believe it was unprofessional and I was deeply offended by what you told me to do.’”

"Anytime you stomp on something it shows that you believe that something has no value. So if you were to stomp on the word Jesus, it says that the word has no value," he added.

Two days later, Rotela spoke to Poole's supervisor and learned that he was suspended from the class.

The school defended the action against Rotela.

The Real Gay Marriage Agenda

By Douglas V. Gibbs

As the Supreme Court hears arguments regarding gay marriage as it relates to California's Proposition 8, and the federal Defense of Marriage Act, the whole premise of what is going on has been lost in the mix.

The supporters of gay marriage consider their opposition to be anti-gay marriage, and see the pro-traditional marriage groups as trying to force these people from being able to have equal access to the "right" to be married.

The rhetoric and funding of the homosexual agenda is powerful, and has even members of the GOP jumping ship.

The language used, and the arguments being used, hides what is really at stake.

From a Christian point of view, homosexuality is a sin, but Christians also argue that they have no intent to outlaw gay sexual behavior.  I don't approve of people voting democrat, either, but I don't think that should be outlawed.  I would like to see people move away from such a damaging voting behavior, but forcing them to not be able to vote that way, would make me no different than the statists of the liberal left trying to force me to pay for people's birth control, or them trying to force us to accept gay marriage despite our religious or moral beliefs.

A number of those supporting gay marriage claim they don't want to force churches to marry gays.  They just want the State to recognize gay marriage for legal and financial reasons.

When viewing this topic through the lens of the Constitution, we realize that the federal government has no authority to dictate anything regarding marriage, but the issue is also not prohibited to the States.  Therefore, based on the Tenth Amendment, marriage is a State issue, which means DOMA is unconstitutional, and the Supreme Court has no business taking the Proposition 8 case because it is a State issue, and therefore this whole mess should have ended when the California State Supreme Court upheld Proposition 8.

In all of the arguments, however, there is a third option that has been ignored.  My question is, "Why is government involved in marriage in the first place?"

Shouldn't the churches exist in a manner that businesses do, competing for parishioners?  In other words, it should be up to the churches on if they will perform ceremonies for gays, or not.  If they do, they will reap the benefits, or the consequences, of their decision in a manner similar to the free market.  Churches that hold to biblical truths may grow more than churches abandoning God's Word.  Churches will survive or die based on their actions, just like businesses.

It is my argument that it is a church issue, not a government issue.  If people want civil unions, that is a whole different argument.  When it comes to the legal aspect, lawyers can always draw up papers separately.

By government getting involved in marriage, it allows this kind of battle to arise.  It allows the pro-gay crowd, whose goal is to destroy marriage, and the church, to claim marriage to be a civil right.  If marriage is a civil right, and the courts rule in favor of gay marriage, it enables them to call it a constitutional right.  And if marriage is a constitutional right, it will enable gays to demand churches marry them, or be sued for violating their constitutional right.  It is a way to force government into the churches, and destroy the churches by forcing them to change their doctrines away from the Bible, or fail to exist because of the onslaught of lawsuits.

It is coming.  Pretty soon, perhaps sooner than many of you think, the church will be under full assault, and the Bible will be under the same attack that our firearms are right now.

This has nothing to do with marriage, and everything to do with destroying yet another group that opposes the liberal left.

As Karl Marx put it, "The meaning of peace is the absence of opposition to socialism."

Republican Establishment Joins Democrat Gun Control Madness - Supports Background Check Expansion

McCain Key Player in Background Check Expansion

The Hill is reporting that John McCain (R-AZ), who has affixed his name to such legislation or proposed legislation as McCain-Feingold (CFR), McCain-Kennedy (immigration) and McCain-Lieberman (climate change), is a key player in the quest to expand background check for gun purchasers.

Also "considering" signing on are Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) and Senator Dean Heller (R-NV). The proposal contains some "compromises" such as letting "rural gun owners conduct background checks from their home computers. Central African Republic Next African Nation Under Islamic Attack

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The violence has only begun.

Following the news of rebels in the Central African Republic battling the government of the poverty stricken nation, the media has failed to give much detail on what is fueling the rebel's fight.  I figured it was just another hot zone, until I did some research.

The Central African Republic, a French Colony until 1960, borders Islamic Sudan and Chad, but Muslims in the country are a minority.  Wikipedia indicates that Muslims account for only 10% of the population, and Christians comprise 80% of the population.  The U.S. State Department's website, from a report from a few years ago, gives slightly different numbers, placing the Christians at 50%, and Islam as possessing 20% of the population.

Understanding Islam, one realizes it is a barbaric political ideology that masks as a religion, with the intention of dominating the societies it infests, and ultimately dominating the entire world.  As the percentage of the population of Muslims in a nation increases, Islam becomes louder, and more aggressive, taking more action towards influencing the host nation as their numbers increase.  Once the Islamists believe they can take control, they take action, which is what is happening in the Central African Republic.

The rebel organization has ousted the president of the nation, and has gained control of the capital, and though some reports are not sure the group is dominated by Muslims, it is clear that Islam is behind the group, and they seek to impose Islam on the nation.  Despite being the minority, the members of the Islamic system in that African country believes they are supreme, above the rest of the population, and that the non-Muslims are inferior and must be controlled, and ultimately converted, by Islam.  Death, conversion, or dhimmitude are the options to those that fall under control of the new Islamic regime that is on the horizon.

A new page in the history of the Central African Republic has turned, according to the rebels, and they are right.  Another country is falling to the totalitarian tyranny of an oppressive Islamic regime.  Seleka, the rebel group, makes claims that they will work with all people in the nation, but ultimately, the truth of the matter is, Islam will gain full control, and all other groups will be persecuted, murdered, and treated as members of a lower class.

The chaos in the Central African Republic has just begun.

Once the Muslim Brotherhood gets involved, and they may already be through Seleka, Darfur and other atrocities may look small compared to the bloodshed coming to the Central African Republic as the Muslims seek to cleanse the nation of Christians.

Federalizing Local Law Enforcement, Obama's Reign of Terror

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The cities of Murrieta and Hemet in Southern California have met with a difficult reality.  Now that they are spending more than they have coming in (in 2012 Murrieta's was a $900,000 budget gap), while being faced with paying for massive pensions of retired police and fire, a rising cost for Murrieta's City Manager's massive wage that is illegally not being tempered by Measure E which was voted in by the people in 2010, and in the case of Murrieta also fighting a massive lawsuit that, if they lose it, could spell a loss comparable to the city's annual revenue, extinction may be on the horizon for both cities.  One way they may be able to delay, or avert, certain destruction, is to contract out their emergency services to the county, as Hemet is currently considering in regards to police services.

The counties, be it in California, or around the nation, also face financial difficulties, and are facing difficult decisions in maintaining local law enforcement services.

During the time period approaching sequestration when the liberal democrats were spewing all of the propaganda they could muster, one of the comments was that police and fire would suffer as a result of cuts to federal spending.  Opposition to the liberal left accused them of crying wolf, proclaiming the democrats were idiots, because local law enforcement and fire is handed by local governments.

Was the liberal left's claim that sequestration would influence police and fire a misstatement, or did it betray a deep down desire by the statists of the party-of-the-jackass to federalize local emergency services?

Local cities are already acting in a manner consistent with federal desires, implementing Agenda 21 provisions, and ordering totalitarian "police-state" equipment such as unmanned flying drones, armored personnel carriers, and city-wide surveillance camera systems.

Is this all a part of a greater plan to federalize local emergency services for the purpose of population control, under the guise of seeking to protect the people against chaos created by natural disasters or terrorist attacks?

On March 19th, the Murrieta City Council was challenged regarding their intended purchase of drones, armored personnel carriers (I call them armored assault vehicles), and surveillance camera systems.  The Chief of Police commented that the armored vehicles were needed (the City of Murrieta has one at this time, and is seeking to buy a second one) if dealing with an armed individual (domestic terrorists?).  "You have to have a vehicle that can withstand gunshots."

Remember, the government has already labeled the Tea Party, Constitutionalists, Military Veterans, and conservatives that cling to their Bibles and guns as potential domestic terrorists.

And I fit each one of those categories!

The Murrieta Police Chief, when discussing the need for these toys of war, explained how they are needed for the police force to use what is called a Surround and Call-Out operation.  This kind of tactic requires hard cover (armored cover), which you only get with armored personnel carriers.  You need two. One for the front and the other for the rear of the location being approached.

Air Vehicles, also known as Drones, was addressed with concern by citizens, and a couple city council members, in light of the Obama administration stating that such vehicles could be used to kill Americans on American Soil legally, and without due process.  The Chief of Police stated these vehicles would not be armed, and would be used in the same manner as a police helicopter could be used, without the high price of a helicopter, or risking the life of a pilot.

The citizen response to all of this in the Southwest Riverside County city was that this was a part of a program to move Murrieta, which doesn't need this kind of Los Angeles law enforcement tactics, towards becoming a police-state.  The concern is that the equipment could be used against the citizenry.

That is why in the Constitution, in Article I, Section 8, the standing army requires a new appropriation of funds every two years.  The Founding Fathers did not wish for the federal government to maintain a permanent army without the voice of the people being involved.  Since the House of Representatives, which is the voice of the people, is the part of government that holds the purse strings, requiring approval of funding every two years provided a check against the government in regards to the army, so that the central government would be less likely to create a standing army that could be used against the people.

The current administration has shown a desire to create a civilian army (through FEMA) under federal control, and to increase federal involvement in local jurisdictions.  As local emergency services face financial difficulties, while arming up with technology that can be used to create fear for controlling the populace, it does not seem to be completely out of the realm of possibility that the federal government may federalize local law enforcement, and use this technology as a part of a terrible reign of control against American Citizens that dare to refuse to goose-step in unison with the current ruling elite in control of the federal government.

Before you disregard my conclusions as the rantings of an extremist, or a conspiracy theorist, (and this is mainly pointed at the liberal left democrats reading this) ask yourself, "Would you have wanted this kind of power in the hands of George W. Bush?  How about someone in the future with aspirations similar to Hitler, or Stalin?

The accumulation of these devices by cities, and the federal government, along with the increasing purchase of ammunition by government agencies (which is causing a shortage of ammunition for private purchase), coupled with gun control legislation, equals one thing to the average guy like me watching from my perch: Control through the actions of a Police State.  They are gearing up for control, confiscation, and tyranny.

Cyprus Told by Europe: Confiscate Funds From Private Accounts, or Leave Euro

Cyprus told: take bank levy or leave euro

Wealthy Russians stand to lose billions of euros in Cypriot banks under draconian terms being hammered out on Sunday night in Brussels to prevent the Mediterranean tax haven becoming the first country forced out of the single currency.

Negotiations got underway amid a hardening of the stance held by the International Monetary Fund and Germany, who insisted that depositors must take the hit for bailing out the eurozone's latest crisis economy.

There were signs of panic in Cyprus as a €100 (£85) limit was imposed on ATM withdrawals, with more stringent capital controls to follow if a deal is reached.

The European Central Bank has threatened to cut off funds propping up Cypriot banks on Monday, precipitating the island's exit from the euro if agreement was not reached on Sunday night at the emergency meeting between eurozone finance ministers, the president of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades, and the bailout troika of the IMF, European Commission and the ECB.

The Europeans, with the Germans and the IMF taking a particularly hard line, demanded the winding up of Cyprus Popular Bank, the country's second biggest, and the restructuring of Bank of Cyprus, the biggest financial institution.

The parties considered new proposals that had emerged over the weekend with European officials speaking of a levy of up to 25% on Bank of Cyprus depositors with accounts holding more than €100,000, plus a further levy of up to 5% on similar deposits in other banks.

"The numbers have not changed. If anything they've got worse," said Wolfgang Schäuble , Germany's finance minister. He said that last week's agreement to raise €5.8bn had to be achieved. This time, however, savers with less than €100,000 would be spared, meaning the burden would fall much more heavily on the wealthy than the 9.9% levy proposed for their accounts last week.

Exposing Obama Ineligibility Meets Threat of Federal Investigation

The lead investigator in Sheriff Joe Arpaio’s review of the authenticity of Barack Obama’s birth certificate today unloaded a bombshell about the case: that he was told by sources members of the media were threatened with federal investigations should they continue to report on the birth certificate issue.

Lead investigator Mike Zullo told WND that as he was preparing information to be presented to the public “it was clear that the mainstream media was not going to be in attendance” at the sheriff’s scheduled new conference, where he presented facts suggesting both fraud and forgery in the image of a Hawaiian birth certificate that the White House released last yearas “proof positive” of Obama’s eligibility for office.

“During our investigation, we actually were told [that media] had been threatened with FTC investigations. Commentators [had been] threatened with their jobs,” Zullo said.

Immigration Reform Meets Set-Backs

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Article I, Section 8, Clause 4 of the United States Constitution gives the power to Congress "To establish an uniform Rule of Naturalization."  Article I, Section 9, Clause 1 grants to Congress the authority to pass legislation prohibiting the migration of persons to our country across the national border, as they deem necessary.  Article IV, Section 4 tasks the federal government with the duty of protecting each of the States from invasion.  Therefore, immigration is indeed an issue that the federal government is supposed to be involved with.  Article II, Section 3 requires the President to "take Care that the Laws be faithfully executed."

States also have authorities regarding immigration.  The States have the authority to protect their State borders, and to enforce the law inside their States.  Prior to 1808, the States had all authorities regarding immigration, but Article I, Section 9, Clause 1 allowed the federal government to prohibit immigration as they felt was needed.  Notice, nowhere in the Constitution is it indicated that the federal government can tell the States who they have to accept.

Also, understand that securing the border is more than just an immigration issue, since many of the people crossing our borders into the country are of Middle Eastern descent.  With people who are associated with sleeper terrorist cells, or are connected to terrorist groups like al-Qaeda, crossing the border illegally, the issue of securing the border, and enforcing immigration laws, is also a national security issue.

Sanctuary cities, and States, are harboring illegal immigrants, and in fact could be harboring the enemy, and are in violation of U.S. Code, Sections 1324 and 1325, which addresses "concealing, harboring, or sheltering illegal aliens," as does the Immigration and Naturalization Act sections 274 and 275.

Refusing to enforce immigration law places the federal government, and States that do the same, in violation of Article III, Section 3 by giving the enemy "aid and comfort" by allowing illegal entry into the United States, or "entry without inspection." Failure to enforce immigration law is against the law according to INA section 275, (8 USC Section 1324).  Repeated illegal entry is a felony.

A large swath of Americana realizes these truths, and have been steadfast against amnesty, and any other free ride to citizenship being offered to the lawbreakers that invade our soil by illegally crossing the U.S. National Border.

The federal government has been trying to reform immigration law to be more accommodating to the invaders.  The "Gang of Eight," consisting of four members from each political party, have been working to create what they consider to be a bi-partisan effort towards immigration reform.

Unforeseen obstacles have risen up in their path.

One of the reasons employers in the United States illegally employ the unskilled workers coming across the border is because they are willing to work jobs not easily pitched to Americans, and the illegal aliens are willing to perform these tasks at a rate of pay significantly lower than what their American counterparts would be willing to work for.  Now, with the immigration talks in play, the negotiations over wages has become something that may stall the efforts of the Senate, and the Gang of Eight.

The plan being worked on would enable the federal government to grant visas to low-skilled foreign workers to work in the United States temporarily.  Both parties have accepted the plan tentatively, but when the plan was shown to the AFL-CIO Labor Union, the huge union said, "No-Go."

I am not seeing why our politicians should have to dance around hoping for the okay of a labor union, but the outcome is favorable to those that are against the enactment of any amnesty legislation.  The opposition to amnesty would rather see government enforce the laws on the books, rather than try to legislate our future away with draconian immigration reform laws that open the borders, or grant a free ride to citizenship to people willing to break the law by crossing the border illegally.

The legislation specifies that the visas will only be issued if they do not drive down the wages of those doing the same job in the United States.  The proposal also includes construction workers in the plan, which business wants and labor does not.

Randel Johnson, a senior vice president of the U.S Chamber of Commerce, Washington's largest business lobby, said "unions have jeopardized the entire immigration reform effort...because of their refusal to take a responsible stance on a small temporary worker program."

Organized labor had a similarly angry characterization of the status of talks. "There is an uncomprehending level of anger. We have conceded on so many different grounds. They (Republicans) want to pave the path to citizenship with poverty," said Jeff Hauser, a spokesman with the AFL-CIO.

With the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and the AFL-CIO in open warfare over the immigration reform proposal, questions on if an agreement will even be reached are rising.

Meanwhile, one of the loudest voices supporting that government enforce the laws that are on the books, Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Arizona, has been under fire, but the organizers of the campaign to recall Sheriff Joe has lost ground, and are now relying solely on volunteers because they have run out of money.  This shortfall may keep them from collecting enough signatures to place a recall of Arpaio on the ballot.

Arpaio's camp says the claim may simply be another fundraising stunt.  Arpaio’s campaign manager, Chad Willems, noted the anti-Arpaio forces could find "funding sources outside the legal channels" of the group.

In the end, according to Laurie Roberts, a political writer for the Arizona Republic, "no money equals no recall."

North Dakota Takes Abortion Into Hands of State Sovereignty, Defines Life As Starting At Conception

For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb. - Psalms 139:13

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Christians have long supported that life begins at conception, using verses such as Psalms 139:13 as their evidence.  Abortion is the taking of human life, according to believers, for the Bible shows that life begins at conception.  The Bible says that the prophet Jeremiah and the apostle Paul were called by God before they were born, and John the Baptist leaped in his mother's womb when the voice of Mary, the mother of Jesus, was near.

Those that agree with this line of thinking also point out that the journey through the progression of development begins at conception, and continues through one's life, through childhood, adulthood, and ultimately to death.

In Leviticus 20:2, God warned Israel not to offer the blood sacrifice of babies to the heathen god Molech, where children were placed in the glowing arms of the idol, and lighted immediately into flames.  Yet, in today's society, we have legalized the offering of innocent blood as a sacrifice to sensuality and convenience, the same attributes given to the heathen god Molech.

The practice of abortion should be unthinkable to a moral and just society.  When Israel was forced to kill their newborn babies in Egypt as explained in Exodus 1:15-22, the practice was considered the height of cruel oppression.  The thought of killing one's own children should be thought as being against nature, and the natural the very instincts of motherhood.  Women have always yearned to have children.  A baby has always been considered a blessing, and a gift from God.  In the Old Testament women prayed not to be barren.  How could a woman with motherly instincts turn against her own children and destroy them?

Abortion is the height of immoral barbarity.

When a Texas law outlawed abortion, a lawsuit that came to be known as Roe v. Wade unconstitutionally struck down the State law, opening up the floodgates for abortion throughout the United States.  The federal government has proclaimed that the Supreme Court's decision superseded any State laws to the contrary, and the States cowered under the false claim of federal supremacy.

States have begun to take alternate routes to outlaw abortion within their borders.

North Dakota, a State often dismissed as a small, rural place somewhere up where it snows a lot, is now trying to enact the toughest abortion restrictions in the nation.  The legislation proclaims that life begins at conception, affording to the unborn equal protection under the law.

The opposition falsely calls the legislation unconstitutional.

The new measure is one of many pro-life measures to pass the Legislature, most of which are waiting for the signature of Republican Gov. Jack Dalrymple.

One bill, if signed into law, would prohibit abortion if a fetal heartbeat can be detected. Another would make North Dakota the only state to prohibit women from having the procedure because a fetus has a genetic defect, such as Down Syndrome.

Other States, in the last few years, have tried to pass similar legislation, and have failed, but it looks like these measures in North Dakota will pass.

The expectation, once these measures are signed into law, is an onslaught of court cases by the opposition.  Since the federal government has no express authority granted in the Constitution regarding abortion, or any other health care issues for that matter, the federal courts, if they were to act in accordance with the Constitution, would need to refuse to take the cases, proclaiming abortion to be a State issue.  You and I, however, know that the oppressive court system will do nothing of the sort.

The expensive court fight does not worry North Dakota's State legislature, since record production of oil has thrust the State of North Dakota to the level of being the second largest oil producer in the U.S., only behind Texas.  North Dakota boasts a nearly $2 billion state budget surplus and has the lowest unemployment rate in the nation.

Abortion foes acknowledge they want to shut down North Dakota's only abortion clinic, which is in Fargo, the state's largest city. They also hope to challenge the U.S. Supreme Court's 1973 Roe v. Wade ruling.

Jordan Goldberg, state advocacy counsel for the New York-based Center for Reproductive Rights, claims that none of the bills originated in North Dakota. "All the bills came from out of state, every single one of them," Goldberg said.

He offers no valid argument regarding why the slaughter of innocent blood should remain legal in the State of North Dakota.

Iran Imprisons Nursing Mothers, Persecutes Non-Muslims

Nursing mothers imprisoned: UN report details Iranian persecution of non-Muslims

A UN report finds the regime of Iranian supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is intensifying its violent crackdown on religious minorities.

Iran’s hard-line regime has intensified its violent crackdown on Christians and other religious minorities, even imprisoning nursing mothers for practicing their faith, according to a new UN report.

The March report provides a rare, detailed view into the shocking treatment of Christians in Iran, where American Pastor Saeed Abedini is serving an eight-year sentence for his alleged work with Christians.

“The persecution of Christians has increased,” said Ahmed Shaheed, the UN’s expert on human rights in Iran. “It seems to target new converts and those who run house churches.”

“The persecution of Christians has increased.” - Ahmed Shaheed, author of UN report

At least 13 Protestant Christians are currently in detention centers across Iran, and more than 300 Christians have been arrested since June 2010, according to the report. In addition to Christians, the nation’s 350,000 Bahai, who form Iran’s largest non-Muslim faith, have suffered under Tehran’s repression.

While most of the cases have not made headlines, the report spotlighted some examples.

Iran’s judicial authorities sentenced Christian Pastor Behnam Irani in 2011 and church leader Farshid Fathi in 2012 to six-year prison terms. Irani was convicted of “actions against the state,” because he preached Christianity, while Fathi was convicted of “religious propaganda.”

Abedini was sentenced in late January to eight years in Iran’s Evin prison for practicing Christianity in Iran.

Fathi was accused of distributing Persian-language Bibles and coordinating trips for church members to attend religious seminars and conferences outside the country, the report stated.

Iran’s regime shut down the home-based Janat Abad Assemblies of God Church in Tehran last year.

“Fundamentally, it is an issue of intolerance of different views,” Shaheed said.

There is a “new Islamization in part of the government” that might explain the spike in repression targeting Christians, he added.

The UN report is the latest evidence that Iran’s clerical leaders seek to stamp out religious freedoms for minorities and dissent in the authoritarian Islamic Republic.

In Washington, lawmakers expressed outrage on Tuesday at Iran’s behavior.

"I strongly condemn the Iranian government's continued persecution of religious and ethnic minorities and women,” Sen. Mark Kirk, R-Ill., who has spearheaded key Iran economic and human rights sanctions legislation, told FoxNews.com. “The United States has a responsibility to stand squarely with the Iranian people against their oppressive dictators."

Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen, R-Fla., told FoxNews.com the report confirms widespread and systematic violations of human rights under the Tehran regime.

“But this is what we have come to expect from [Iranian President] Ahmadinejad and his cronies,” Ros-Lehtinen said. “This reprehensible behavior will only get worse unless the United States and other responsible nations fully and vigorously enforce a wide range of sanctions against the regime and its officials responsible for human rights violations.”

Mohammad Reza Noroozpour, spokesman for Iran's High Council for Human Rights, told FoxNews.com the Iranian Constitution prohibits investigation of individuals' beliefs.

“It is forbidden, and no one may be molested or taken to task simply for holding a certain belief,” Noroozpour said, insisting that freedom of expression is tolerated “except where there is infringement of the basic tenets of Islam or public rights.”

But Dwight Bashir, deputy director for policy at the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, told FoxNews.com the report “is an indispensable catalogue of the scope and severity of abuses perpetrated by the Iranian government.

"Over the past year, the Iranian government has stooped to new lows by incarcerating infant children with their Baha'i mothers and more brutally, clamping down on Christian converts from Islam,” Bashir said. “The U.S. government also should sanction Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei and President Ahmadinejad for their culpability in committing serious human rights abuses.”

North Korea Threatens Nuclear Attack Against U.S. Bases in Japan, Guam

North Korea issues fresh threat to U.S., South probes hacking

North Korea said it would attack U.S. military bases on Japan and the Pacific island of Guam if provoked, a day after leader Kim Jong-un oversaw a mock drone strike on South Korea.

The North also held an air raid drill on Thursday after accusing the United States of preparing a military strike using bombers that have overflown the Korean peninsula as part of drills between South Korean and U.S. forces.

North Korea has stepped up its rhetoric in response to what it calls "hostile" drills between South Korea and the United States. It has also been angered by the imposition of fresh U.N. sanctions that followed its February 12 nuclear test.

Separately, South Korea said a hacking attack on the servers of local broadcasters and banks on Wednesday originated from an IP address in China, raising suspicions the intrusion came from North Korea.

"The United States is advised not to forget that our precision target tools have within their range the Anderson Air Force base on Guam where the B-52 takes off, as well as the Japanese mainland where nuclear powered submarines are deployed and the navy bases on Okinawa," the North's supreme military command spokesman was quoted as saying by the KCNA news agency.

Japan and U.S. Pacific bases are in range of Pyongyang's medium-range missiles.

It is not known if North Korea possesses drones, although a report on South Korea's Yonhap news agency last year said it had obtained 1970s-era U.S. target drones from Syria to develop into attack drones.

Society Has Moved Towards Easy Money

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The early colonists to America were families not trained in the art of survival.  Yet, knowing the dangers, they crossed the ocean and landed on a foreign shore where the landscape was yet to be tamed.  Some didn't even survive the arduous journey across the Atlantic.  In Jamestown, of the first 500 brave spirits to try their hand in a new land, only 60 survived.

Separated by an ocean from Europe, the American Colonies had to learn to produce for themselves.  Some of it came from trial and error, and some of it came from knowledge passed to them by the local Indians.  All of it came from hard work, self-reliance, and acting responsibly.  From the very beginning the Spirit of Americanism was there.  This nation would become a beacon of freedom because of the hard work ethic of the people, for in this land of opportunity, if one worked hard enough, persistent enough, and long enough, anything was possible.

Fathers taught their sons the importance of a hard day's work, and the government was restrained by the Constitution so that the people could keep more of what they earned.  As a result, we prospered.  Anyone could be an entrepreneur if they dared fight that fight.  Others were content with being an employee.  Others became farmers and service providers.  Inventions began pouring out of this nation.  Innovation was abound.  The opportunities in this nation provided incentive to "go for it," and many did.

Success is not an easy thing to achieve, and not everyone makes it.  Only 2% of new businesses survive in the long run.  Some of those failed entrepreneurs hang up their dreams and become an employee somewhere, while others try, try again.  It is your choice to go for it, or not.  It is your choice to learn from the failures, or quit.  It is your choice to make money for yourself, or make money for someone else.  That is the freedom of America.  And it doesn't matter where you started, the economic classes are not fixed.  We don't have a caste system. Dr. Ben Carson is a great example of that, becoming a successful neurosurgeon after very humble beginnings.  Like Carson, and Herman Cain, there is a number of other successful professionals and business owners in this nation that became who they are not because of government, but because of the American Spirit.

Since some people do not reach the upper heights of success, and therefore never come close to achieving any kind of wealth, there are those out there who believe we have a failed system, and that it is unfair.  They see failures in a society as proof that the system must somehow be slanted towards a lucky few.  They believe also that money is finite, so if there is someone at the top reaching the pinnacle of success, someone is suffering at the bottom because of it (hence, the phrase, "The rich get richer, and the poor get poorer").  To make everything fair, these people reason, we must make sure the rich, success folks have some of their riches taken away, and handed down to the people at the bottom.  They don't need all that money, reasons the liberal left.  And if they refuse to hand out money to those that are less fortunate, than it must be the job of the government to do it by force.

This kind of redistribution of wealth has materialized into entitlement programs.  And of late, the growth of these programs has been staggering.  The number of people receiving food stamps, and other government assistance programs, has grown to the point that nearly 50% of the people in this nation receive some kind of aid from the government.

What is worse is that the Spirit of Americanism, which includes hard work, self-reliance, and personal responsibility, is dying.  The younger generation does not see this as the land of opportunity, and they don't see how their drive for anything could result in success, and ultimately a comfortable life when it comes to the financial end of things.  They have been taught that there is no need to "go for it," because the government will take care of them.  Life is full of chances for easy money, these people think, so why take the risks, or engage in such hard work, to chase after the slim chance of becoming successful?  And that is why also the Lottery is so popular, as well as less-than-moral actions to "take" from those that are richer than they.  It is a lot easier to try and get rich through the lottery, or insurance fraud, or suing some rich guy, than it is to work for it.

If the government can take from the rich, they reason, why can't they?

An example of this mentality exposed itself to a friend of mine who is a fellow truck driver.  What we drive during the week is called a "transfer."  Transfers are used to deliver sand and gravel products.  From the front the trucks we drive looks like any other big rig on the road, but once you get a side view, you realize they are quite different.  The truck portion is a lot like a dump truck.  A hook in the back attaches to a draw bar which is attached to a trailer that is designed a lot like a little red wagon like you had as a kid (except the sides go much higher).  When the truck arrives on a job site where they are to dump, the trailer is disconnected, and the truck is used to dump the material in its "box."  After emptying the truck box, the truck returns, and the box on the trailer can be transferred into the truck box.  Then, after dumping out the material in the trailer box, the box can be transferred back onto the trailer frame, and then the draw bar can be reconnected and the truck can go along its merry way.

Because the trailer box is to be transferred into the truck box, the trailer sits much higher than trailers of regular big rigs.  I can easily, by simply ducking, walk under the frame of the trailer.  This height is necessary to be able to transfer the box, and creates a need to be a little more careful when taking turns.  The higher center of gravity enables the potential for the trailer tipping over if turns are taken at too high of a rate of speed.

After dumping his material at a university in the Los Angeles area, my friend was reconnected, and on his way out of the zone.  College students were everywhere.  Some of the crosswalks near the campus actually has a moment where all lights are red, and the pedestrians can cross diagonally as well, if that is more convenient for them.  At one such intersection, as he planned to make a turn, the driver noticed one of the students, with a bike, doing something queer.

As the trucker made his turn, the kid on the bike moved his wheel forward so that the tires on the back axle of the trailer would make contact with the bike.  The driver immediately hit his brakes, swung open his door, and yelled, "What the [expletive] are you doing?"

The young man on the bike, caught in the act, immediately withdrew his tire, and rode his bike away from the scene rapidly.

It doesn't take a scholar to realize what the potential "victim" was trying to do.  Even with the risk of harm to himself, he was going to allow the trailer tires to run over the front wheel of his bike with him still on the seat, and then sue the trucking company for enough to live comfortably for the rest of his life.

From the point of view of these folks, the big, bad corporations are swimming in money. In fact, they have so much money that the government is going after these greedy corporations with punitive taxation.  Since these companies have so much money, why not get in on the action themselves?  I am guessing that is what the young man with the bike probably reasoned.  And who cares about ethics?  Morality is out the window.  It is a pluralistic society.  As far as this kid was concerned, there was nothing wrong with what he was doing because the evil corporations were doing more harm than him.  What would a few hundred thousand dollars be to such a large corporation, anyway?

Of course, the boy probably never considered that the driver would lose his job, and ultimately his driving career, his family would suffer, and that the small trucking company that is already barely making it because of all of the draconian regulations by the government, may be put out of business over this, leaving for the bigger corporations, that the young man hates so much, less competition.

"Who cares?" these people think.  "It's easy money, and we deserve it.  Obama says so. It was taken from us by the evil rich."

Or as one member of the opposition told me, "Tax rich whitey.  It ain't racist to make the wealthy white man suffer."

Indeed.  After all, it ain't fair, right?
