The low-wage complaining has resumed, and once again the fast food workers have been convinced that they must demand a "living wage," which in their opinion is at least $15 per hour.
Fast food is entry-level work. It is low wage for a reason. If the pay and benefits is not to your liking, the answer is easy. Find another job.
Yes, I get it, in Obama's economy jobs are not exactly easy to find. But the way to do better is not to use government to force industries to do things that will in the end increase prices, and encourage them to reduce the hours of its employees. Besides, why would these protesters ever want government to force private businesses to do anything? Theirs are purely selfish reasons - despite whatever damage it may do to society, the economy, and the general welfare of the culture.
Good wages and decent positions are hard to come by. Demand for good wages and decent positions is soaring. Full-time positions are being reduced to part-time positions, or full-time positions are having duties added as other employees are being let go. It is all about supply and demand, and right now, thanks to the Obama administration, the supply of jobs is not exactly good right now.
So, don't blame the fast food joints. Blame the Obama administration. Your inability to find a "living wage" job is partly because you won't get off you ass and find a better job, and partly because of Obama's policies which have been preventing the economy from growing.
And when it comes to these fast food protesters, what do they think will happen if suddenly the industry is forced to pay its workers $15 an hour?
Prices of the food goes up to pay for the pay increases, and other industries with lower pay will be forced to match the pay. This means that prices go up all the way across the board, making the raises a moot point, and everyone will be right back in the same boat. The only difference is that the numbers will be higher.
But they think they are entitled. Everyone seems to think they are entitled - thanks to the liberal left indoctrination they have been receiving all their life.
