NOW Nikki Haley Is Veep Timbre?

by JASmius

I think Switch said it best in The Matrix:

South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley’s expeditious and successful campaign to remove the Confederate flag from the State capitol grounds may put her in contention for the second spot on the GOP presidential ticket, according to Politico.

So that's why she did it?  To get on the 2016 GOP presidential ticket?   It wasn't bad enough that she succumbed to the pressure to pander to the Nutroots and join the totalitarian mania to expunge American history of any trace of the lessons the rise and fall of the CSA teaches?

Haley has been widely lauded for her "decisive action" on the flag following the massacre of nine black parishioners by an avowed white supremacist while attending Bible study at their Charleston, South Carolina, church on June 17th. On Thursday, she signed a law ordering the controversial symbol to be taken down.

The flag that did not open fire in Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church nor force Dylann Roof to do so.

The 43-year-old second-term governor managed to do what no other Palmetto State politician ever could: unify the State Legislature on the hotly contested issue of the flag.

She did no such thing, because they were bulldozed by the same blithering mob frenzy she was.

"Nikki showed leadership in this instance, and she represents a new Republican face in the South," Republican strategist Steve Schmidt told Politico.

Schmidt was John McCain's chief 2008 campaign strategist, you might remember.  You know, the man primarily responsible for putting Sarah Palin (who campaigned for Nikki Haley in 2010, you might recall) into solitary confinement for over a month after her smash-hit GOP convention speech.

"She speaks to the growing diversity of Republican elected officials in executive office, and she’s been a very effective governor in the state of South Carolina, and certainly, she’s going to be a person given serious consideration."

Yes, she has been - up until now.  Just as she was showing leadership in the aftermath of the Charleston shootings - up until a week ago.  Bowing to the leftwing flashmob threats to revise U.S. history to their liking is not "leadership," it is the antithesis of it.

Seriously, Nikki Haley wasn't vice presidential timbre before this?  Only NOW has she entered that category?

I'm really hoping that this is just trolling on Politico's part and not the genuine sentiments and scheming of Governor Haley, or my respect for her will vanish altogether.
