Obsolete U.S. Bomber Overflies ChiComm-Occupied South China Sea

by JASmius

Under just about any other POTUS I would consider this to be a "receipt" to the ChiComms for their simulated submarine-launched cruise missile attack on the U.S.S. Ronald Reagan the other day.  Judging by Beijing's reflexively butthurt reaction, I would also suggest that the message was received loud and clear.

But this is the Obama Regime we're talking about, so I'm inclined to buy the "navigational error" excuse - especially since the bomber in question was first introduced only a decade after the end of the Second World War:

[Red] China on Saturday accused the U.S. of committing a "serious military provocation" by flying an Air Force B-52 Stratofortress strategic bomber over a [Red] Chinese-controlled man-made island in the South China Sea.

[Red] China's Defense Ministry said in a statement that the U.S. is deliberately raising tensions in the disputed region where [Red] China has been aggressively asserting its claims to virtually all islands, reefs and their surrounding seas.

Akin to shrieking, "Hey, you're not cheating fair!"  Or hurling fortune cookies from a tissue house.

"The actions by the U.S. side constitute a serious military provocation and are rendering more complex and even militarizing conditions in the South China Sea.," the statement said. It demanded Washington immediately take measures to prevent such incidents and damage to relations between the two nations.

Yeah, how dare we "shoot back".  Classic communist hand-waving propaganda bluster.

The statement said Chi[Comm] military personnel on the island went on high alert during the December 10th overflight and issued warnings demanding the aircraft leave the area. As it has in past, the ministry also said it would take whatever necessary measures to protect [Red] China's sovereignty and security.

Which does not include the entire f'ing South China Sea.  As they very well know.  And if they are serious as they're trying to make their protest sound, they wouldn't be whining about it nine days later, they'd be - or have already taken - actual countermeasures to demonstrate their displeasure.

As I say, if The One had been sending a message instead of the decrepit old crate getting lost, I would say that message had been received.  As it is, given the sequence of events - i.e. the Stratofortress straying off course first - it now looks like the simulated ChiComm missile attack was the "receipt".  Which means I'd wager the White House probably hasn't even connected these two dots.

Thus will World War V blunderingly begin some day, in the not too distant future.
