Two years ago, when we were turning around buses full of sick illegal aliens in Murrieta, I told the television and radio outlets who interviewed me that in addition to the fact that what the federal government was doing in regards of shipping illegal aliens into Murrieta was a violation of the rule of law and existing federal law, a concern regarding health issues was also among my primary reasons for participating in the protests. At the time, one of the Border Patrol agents wound up testing positive for Tuberculosis. Unlike the rest of the world, TB is a disease we have, for the large part, eradicated in our country. Allowing an influx of untested illegal aliens, and Muslim "migrants and refugees" into this country places our population at risk of infection. As a result of the Obama administration refusing to properly protect Americans from the potential of disease coming into our country, we have seen a rise in cases of scabies, TB, measles, small pox, and hand-mouth-and-foot disease (to name a few).
In Vermont, the concern is regarding Muslim "refugees."
Data from the Vermont Department of Health show that more than one-third of refugees resettled in Vermont test positive for tuberculosis.
Since 2013, about 900 refugees admitted to the Green Mountain State have been tested for tuberculosis. Of that number, 318 refugees, or 35.4 percent, tested positive.
The numbers are consistent with the rest of the country, as we suffer from an onslaught of unvetted foreign invaders, which shows that the disease is making a comeback in the United States.
What is even more alarming is that in the case of Vermont, the refugees were tested, and came up positive, but were not sent out of the country as a result. And, we must ask, why were they tested "after" they arrived?
According to IGRA (Interferon-Gamma Release Assays) blood test results from 2013 to the present, the highest percentage of incoming refugees to Vermont infected with TB occurred in 2013. That year, 108 refugees out of 248 tested, or 43.6 percent, showed positive for TB.
Tuberculosis is fatal in half of cases that go untreated.
The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that tuberculosis is common worldwide, with one out of every three people carrying tuberculosis. In 2014, about 9.6 million people had active TB and 1.5 million people died from the disease.
Breitbart recently reported that most of Arizona’s 222 active TB cases among resettled refugees over the past two decades were caused by latent TB infections that advanced to active TB disease.
This news is emerging as President Obama pledges to admit 100,000 refugees to the United States, up from the prior cap of 70,000.
Vermont plans to admit 350 refugees this year.
