Terrorist Bomb in Ansbach, Germany

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Once again, a Muslim refugee is behind a terror attack in Germany.  This time, the attack was in Ansbach, near Nuremburg.  The attacker was a 27-year-old Syrian migrant.  After being denied access to a music festival, he blew himself up.  12 people were injured, three critically.

Authorities say that the contents of the Syrian man’s backpack could have killed many more people.  The contents included metal items used in “wood manufacturing” – such as nails and screws.

The music festival was cancelled as a result of the blast, with around 2,500 people rushed to safety while unconfirmed reports state nearby homes have been evacuated.

The attack took place just three miles away from US military base Katterbach Kaserne, which is home to the 12th Combat Aviation Brigade.

Germany is on high alert following a series of incidents in recent days.
