Two Dead in Fort Myers, Florida Shooting

Two people are dead, 16 injured, as a result of a shooting at an event in Fort Myers, Florida.  The event targeted teenagers, averaging between 13 and 16 years old.  Several victims suffered from gunshot wounds, ranging from minor to life-threatening.

The club was closing and parents were picking their children up when the gunfire erupted.  Victims ranged from 12 to 27 years old. A total of 16 people were were treated in the trauma center and emergency department of the local hospital.  Four victims are still being treated there, two of them in intensive care. All others have been treated and released.

Two other crime scenes were also connected to the incident, where police said three people of interest have been detained.
