IF YOU BELIEVE YOU HAVE LOST, then you have. Every election the polls are manipulated to convince some voters that there is no need to vote. The leftist candidate is so far ahead there is no reason to even pull the lever for your candidate when your little corner of “democracy” doesn’t even matter. The narrative has worked well, since the liberal left statists began to employ the strategy. How many people do you know who are convinced that they need not vote because in the end, their vote doesn’t even matter? If the statists can convince you the world is too dim, and the fight is over, why would you even fight back against their authoritarianism? When there is no will to fight back, there is no opposition to socialism.
The creation of a dim world requires patience, and the ability to alter the very core of a culture.
In W. Cleon Skousen’s “The Naked Communist,” midway down the list of 45 Communist Goals the need by statism to create a dim world is addressed.
The purpose of the liberal left statist controlling the narrative, and using the biased media as a propaganda arm has not been to persuade, convince, or inform the citizenry of anything. There is something greater than controlling a message and convincing an entire nation to believe lies. The goal is to humiliate. It is their goal to ridicule the opposition into silence. When people are forced to remain silent, when they are being told the most obvious lies, or even worse when they are forced to repeat the lies themselves, they lose once and for all their senses of independence, individualism, decency, standard of morals, and most of all, their sense of hope. The dim world convinces them there is nothing they can do to stop the madness, so they accept the obvious lies and begin to cooperate with evil. The hope of standing against the system becomes eroded, and even destroyed. The culture buys into the double-speak that a lie is the truth, and the truth is a lie. And in a society of emasculated liars, control becomes an easy endeavor.
Enter, stage left, political correctness, multiculturalism, and the drive for “diversity” no matter what it takes, and no matter how lopsided the definition of diversity becomes. Criticism flies when a company’s Hispanic employees register at only 60% of the workforce at a plant that lies in a community that is 80% Latino.
The Soviet Union may have collapsed, but the Marxism of the Western Liberal Left has actually grown stronger. We have considered them less threatening, I suppose. Now, with their warmongering counterparts defeated, the new Marxists proclaim peace, love, and tolerance. They still claim that they wish to overthrow the evil, capitalist systems of individualism and a free market. But, nobody worries. The West would never succumb to the kind of tyranny that haunted the Soviet Union. That kind of totalitarianism could never happen here.
After the end of the Cold War we figured the Soviets lost, so they’d all become freedom loving countries like the rest of us. Besides, who would entertain such an ideology when it has visibly collapsed. It doesn’t work. Nobody is crazy enough to remain communist.
The seeds of communism had been planted in the West long ago. The infiltration was already in play. In truth, we never fully confronted the ideology of Marxism from a philosophical or psychological standpoint. We have never truly demonstrated that the suffering it caused for hundreds of millions of people was a direct result of Marxist ideas. We just assumed that Marxism was dead and the world would move on.
In the dim light created by the sorrow perpetrated by the liberal left, we have failed to see that not only has Marxism survived, it is thriving and has in some ways grown stronger. Multiculturalism and the concept of open borders has become the norm. All opposition is demonized, and silenced.
Marxism is hiding in plain sight. It has simply adopted labels like “anti-racism” and “tolerance,” giving them the ability to achieve a degree of censorship of public discourse they could never have dreamed of had they openly stated that their intention was to radically transform Western civilization and destroy its foundations.
Despite being orphaned by the communists, the liberal left statists have pressed onward. Their hatred for capitalism remains, despite the example of a failed Soviet Union that shows socialist economic systems are a disaster. They continue to divide and conquer, attempting to destroy Western Civilization from within. The religion has sunk so deep into their psyche that even in the face of evidence that reveals their way is a road to failure, they press on.
Persons who grew up in former communist countries recognize the scheme. They know what the social experiment that leads to communism looks like. The dimness of the landscape is glaring to them, blazing a bright badge of radicalism that promises utopia, but delivers misery. The liberal left seeks to alter the American System from the top to the bottom, refusing to acknowledge those who know exactly what’s going on.
The liberal left statists only know that they can’t do what they wish until the opposition is eliminated. But, to go house to house and arrest the opposition would be too obvious of a sign that they, indeed, seek total control in a totalitarian way. They may not even be willing to admit it to themselves that ultimately that is what they wish for - as they try to restrain themselves from launching a full-throttle police state.
To protect themselves, they project. The opposition that dares to stand against the liberal left is the home of fascists, racists, and various “phobes.” Never mind that Hitler’s and Lenin’s policies are in lock-step with what the liberal left is working towards. It’s the other side who are the fascists and control freaks.
Liberal leftists claim the moral high ground as they plot immorality. They claim to be looking out for the little guy, while their policies benefit the large corporations - especially those who play ball with, and provide funding for, the statists.
Dim, ugly, and racist. While the museums are working towards shapeless ugliness, society is working towards formless civilizations. Any identifying trait will not be tolerated. We are expected to be genderless, race-less, faceless, and thoughtless. To be anything else is to be against a fair and equal society.
To promote the narrative the liberal left has latched on to the one thing we all still find arouses anger in us. Racism.
Cultures and religion cannot be mentioned in a negative manner, unless it is about whites and Christians. They are acceptable targets of hate. Racism, then, against whites is fine, but unless the white man is bowing at the feet of a multicultural society where whites are the dirt, and all “minorities” are the gods of the society without question, he is as racist as the plantation owners who whipped their slaves, and raped the young daughters of the slave communities.
The consequences of being white is violence against the white establishment. All of those unwilling to bow to multiculturalism must pay. Riot until the cities are burned down, and it forces government to grab control of the situation, and make sure by the force of law that everyone is genderless and colorless.
Karl Marx himself stated that “The meaning of peace is the absence of opposition to socialism.” In the world of the liberal left statist, the absence of opposition to political correctness is peace, the absence of opposition to the Islamic way of life is peace, the absence of individualism is peace, the absence of people in the general public who own possessions is peace, and the absence of any and all ideas who dare to oppose the liberal left agenda is peace. Cultural Marxism. Political Correctness.
Liberty, to the new Marxists, is a danger to society, and is damaging to the common good. Free speech must be curtailed when it is “offensive” to certain groups. Free press must be carefully monitored so that it does not offend any protected group. Freedom of religion is fine as long as it remains inside the four walls of the building of worship, and the pastor doesn’t preach anything that defies the moral narrative established by the state. Don’t assemble with anyone considered seditious, and it’s okay to petition the government for a redress of grievances, but remember that if the courts find it is not within the leftist scheme of acceptability, your request will be denied, and overturned.
As for those firearms, the statists will get to them, soon enough.
Live in silence. Live in compliance. Welcome to the dim world of the new Marxism. It is a kinder, gentler form of communism. The iron curtain does not need to be erected, for now a fence of shame has been erected. The posts of the new iron curtain are firmly planted in the ground with political correctness, and a system of laws that are moral and just because they are designed to protect the fragile sensibilities of any chosen group that the leftist state approves of. Facts don’t matter. Justice is determined by who you are and not by what you have done.
