After such a low-brow campaign by the democrats, where negative attacks by Obama won out, the fight is not over. A vast majority of people do not look fondly upon Washington, yet they have re-elected the primary cause of the problem.
The Republicans have retained the House of Representatives. Conservatives are still in position to fight. The power of the purse strings belongs to the House because that part of government was The People's voice in the federal government.
These conservative republicans in Congress will serve as counterweights to President Obama - if they are willing to fight.
