Rush Limbaugh Returns To The Dark Side

by JASmius

Methinks the Maha Rushie has some massive dents in his Carnac:

Let me give you one little thing: My instinctive feeling right now is that Trump is gonna win, beat Hillary badly, that it could be landslide proportions…

If you follow the news, it’s clear Bernie Sanders is winning (it seems like) every primary the past month. And accompanying every Bernie Sanders victory story is the fact that he won nothing, that Hillary gets the delegates. So there’s just as many — or proportionally just as many — agitated Democrats. You add up people supporting Bernie Sanders to people supporting Donald Trump, and the people that supported Ted Cruz.

You add up those voters — and if they all vote, too, Hillary Clinton doesn’t have a prayer. I don’t care about the Electoral College. I don’t care about anything else. Just like in terms of the people that are fed up with Washington and the establishment, as we sit here today, she is the lone candidate representing what obviously so many Americans, Republicans and Democrats for their own reasons right now happen to despise. She’s losing the vote in every State, and yet the Democrats expect her to triumph. Where is her momentum?

Here's her momentum:

And are we to conclude from this Grand Conflation Theory that there is no fundamental difference between leftwingnut "populists" and Trumplican "populists," aside from their shared propensity for hooliganism?  The Nutroots that have been Pied-Pipered around by Weekend Bernie for the past year, that occupied Wall Street, that pooped on police cars, and that keep violently disrupting Trump rallies are going to fall in love with the personification of plutocratic avarice, misogyny, "racism," and "Islamophobia"?  I mean, sure, Trump is looking to glom much of Sanders' "material,", but does any serious observer see that act of political alchemy being pulled off?

Let's take a little walk down the memory lane of past Limbaugh "gut feelings":

2008:

And I just love this headline from 2012:

Everything except actual facts and evidence pointed to a "Romney landslide".  Because the polls were "all wrong" and "biased" and "manipulated".  Until they were confirmed by actual votes.  And even then Romney "REALLY" won despite falling five million votes short, which voter fraud alone cannot account for.

"Everything," in other words, meaning "blind, delusional faith".

Rush, in short, has returned to pandering to the Trumplican portion of his audience and flipping the bird to the rest of us.  Not that I ever have any time to listen to any radio program on weekday mornings anyway, but if I did, I wouldn't be listening anymore, and wouldn't have been for the past ten and half months.

You know that "demonstrated to be right 98.5% of the time" line.  Yeah, no.
