Federal Incandescent Light Bulb Ban

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

It is official.  July 31, 2023 is the final day Americans are allowed to buy incandescent light bulbs.  A gentleman I know bought 400 of them before the ban, arguing that he needed them for his garage door installation business.  LED lights, he said, puts out a frequency that interferes sometimes with the signal for the opener.  Congress probably never considered "unintended consequences" for their actions, such as that one.  Then again, they probably also are not considering that not only do they not have the authority to ban incandescent light bulbs as per the U.S. Constitution, but also because of the court case regarding Obamacare.  Remember that whole mandate thing about how the government cannot tell you what you have to buy?

The new rule states that you can own incandescent light bulbs, but the manufacture, sale, or transportation of incandescent light bulbs in the United States is hereby prohibited.

Hmmm, that sounds familiar.  Oh, yeah, those are essentially the same words from the Eighteenth Amendment, which initiated the prohibition of the manufacture, sale, or transportation of intoxicating liquors.  We know the time period during which that amendment was active as "Prohibition."  Funny how they knew back then that there is no mention regarding alcohol in the Constitution, so they needed an amendment to the Constitution in order to have the authority to put in place such a ban.

Are light bulbs mentioned as an authority in the Constitution?

No.

How about the environment, of which they claim the ban is in place for the purpose of saving?

No.

Then how is it that we so easily are accepting a ban on incandescent light bulbs by federal coercion without as much as a single complaint well knowing that there is no authority for the federal government to compel that incandescent light bulbs are removed from the free market?

It is still a free market, right?

How many jobs will be lost?  How many unintended consequences will we see as a result of moving to LED only bulbs?  How many health issues will arise in the future due to the exposure of people to so much LED radiation?  Why do they have to ban incandescent light bulbs in the first place?  Why can't we have a choice?  Isn't that what liberty is all about?

Chalk the incandescent light bulb ban as just another sign as to how tyrannical and unconstitutional our government has become.

KPRZ: Mr. Constitution Hour - Laissez-Faire, Mercantilism, and Communism

Mr. Constitution Hour airs every Saturday Night at 9pm.

K-Praise (www.kprz.com)

Mr. Constitution Hour on KPRZ is a radio broadcast that looks at The United States Constitution through the lens of Christianity. The program is hosted by Mr. Constitution Douglas V. Gibbs.

Mr. Constitution Hour by Douglas V. Gibbs: Laissez-Faire, Mercantilism, and Communism - As America moved out of the War Between the States, and through the end of the Nineteenth Century into the Progressive Era, the principles of Free Market Economics and Laissez-Faire began to become challenged. Fabianism and a flirtation with socialism gave way to the Progressive Era and a new mercantilism that led to collusion between big business and the federal government. Communism took over Russia, and America welcomed progressive changes to our banking system, U.S. Senate election method, and introduced a new income tax. Woodrow Wilson became President, ready to wield the presidency in a fashion the progressives demanded. World War I, however, loomed on the horizon.

Election Integrity Project California case Dodged and Dismissed by Leftist Judge...

Press Release | California federal judge dismisses election lawsuit despite Ninth Circuit ordering the case to move forward

MEDIA@JLKPOLITICAL.COM

For Immediate Release 07/26/2023, Santa Clarita, California – Last week, California Judge André Birotte Jr. dismissed the election lawsuit filed by the Election Integrity Project of California (“EIPCa”) even though the Ninth Circuit held the Plaintiffs had standing and ordered the case to move forward last winter.

Since the 2020 election, EIPCa has collected thousands of incident reports from citizens in California reporting election workers not vetting signatures and, in some cases, counting ballots without signatures. Plaintiffs allege these irregularities are the result of California’s laws and regulations that massively expanded universal vote-by-mail and gutted signature verification requirements.

Judge Birotte dismissed the lawsuit, claiming the allegations amounted to garden-variety election irregularities, and Plaintiffs did not allege facts supporting viable claims.

“The allegations do not amount to garden-variety election irregularities but represent systemic issues with California’s election process that disproportionately harm valid in-person voters,” says Mariah Gondeiro, attorney for Advocates for Faith and Freedom. “At the pleading stage, courts must accept all allegations as true, and the federal court improperly dismissed Plaintiffs’ allegations while giving greater weight to Defendants’ unsupported arguments.”

“We look forward to winning again at the Ninth Circuit and setting precedent that will have a broader impact,” says Robert Tyler, President for Advocates for Faith and Freedom.

“Over 20,000 CA citizens have taken EIPCa’s observer training and documented serious election irregularities in 43 out of 58 counties since 2012,” says Linda Paine, President of EIPCa. “We have earned the right to start Discovery!”

Provocative Political Ad for Trump 2024 Nails It

Alphabet Agencies

By Douglas V. Gibbs
Author, Speaker, Instructor, Radio Host

Ever wonder if the federal alphabet agencies are constitutional?  What makes them constitutional, or outright illegal?  When it comes to anything the federal government does it all comes down to whether or not the authorities are enumerated (listed) in our founding document, the U.S. Constitution.  The concept is known as the "Enumeration Doctrine."  In short, like your doctor with his list you sign of things he's allowed to perform while you are in his office, the federal government's powers are limited to the authorities that appear in the Constitution, which is a social contract.

So, that brings us back to the alphabet agencies.  Are their powers enumerated?

EPA? There are no authorities listed regarding the environment, therefore, it's an unconstitutional agency.

FBI? Basically the federal government does have the authority to have an investigative arm regarding issues they have enumerated powers regarding, but then we must ask if the FBI is only investigating those particular issues.

FDA? There are no authorities listed regarding food or drugs.  The FDA is an unconstitutional agency that is acting in a manner that should be left up to each individual State.

DOT?  Transportation is not an authority, again, unconstitutional.

I am not going to go through all of them, but I think you get the point.  Is their function authorized?  If not, the department needs to be done away with.  Like the IRS, ATF, Department of Education....
