I will go more into the Cap and Trade bill, and the insane passage of it in the House of Representatives yesterday, in a future post. Note that it won 219-212, meaning four votes could have changed its direction. A number of Democrats voted against it. Eight Republicans voted for it. One of those eight is my representative here in Southern California, Mary Bono Mack.
The following is the text of the Email I sent her:
You are one of Eight Republicans to vote for the Cap and Trade bill. Are you insane? This thing represents the biggest tax hike in history. It will increase the costs of energy and gas, which will in turn increase the cost of production and the transportation of goods while the value of the dollar continues to plummet due to the massive spending (on borrowed money/fiat money) the Obama Administration and Congress is currently engaging in. Global Warming has been proven to be a hoax, the EPA has been suppressing their studies for political reasons, and now the next step in governmental control over the behaviors of the American people in the form of this idiotic sell out of the American taxpayer passed the House, with your help. If you believe that Government is the solution, and that we should be taxed and controlled, then move over to the Democratic Party. I am extremely disappointed. You have lost my vote.
