Finally, a decision. Troops have been dying in need of more personnel, and more supplies, and somewhere between golf games, parties at the White House, and gallivanting around Europe apologizing for America's exceptionalism, Obama finally decided to add personnel. My question, however, is whether he is adding infantry divisions, support, or a mix?
Oh, wait, Liberals might not understand that military stuff.
Okay, Leftists, quit tie-dying your shirt with the pink peace symbol on it, put away the funny wacky-tobacky, and listen carefully: Infantry personnel fight, support personnel support the fighting force with services and supplies. In Vietnam the majority of the personnel were support personnel, because it takes a lot of support to feed, give medical support to, and house the infantry personnel. However, last time Obama added troops it was all support, and no infantry, according to a bunch of my buddies in the Armed Forces. What is needed is many more infantry personnel. So, the question is, will Obama do what he did last time and deny the forces overseas their infantry personnel, loading the region with more support personnel to make it look like he is adding troops when technically he is not, or will boots on the ground be a part of the new addition of troops?
Don't get me wrong, support personnel are very important - but we need troops in the field to fight the war as well.
In a burning building, adding a bunch of firemen to turn the wrenches on the hydrants doesn't help if more hosemen are not added as well? As for Obama's delay, he was basically like a fire captain standing outside a burning building as his firefighters inside were being overwhelmed by flames, scratching his chin wondering if he should send in more firemen, or pull out who's in there.
Lives were lost, and if Obama is not sending the appropriate personnel, more lives will be senselessly lost.
This is what happens when you send a child to the White House to do a big person's job.
Commander in Chief? It seems only in liberal make-believe land.
