Leading Democrat Labels ObamaCare “Train Wreck”
So let us get this straight. A federal government with record low approval is commandeering a U.S. healthcare system that 80% of Americans rate as 'Good' or 'Excellent.'
With trademark petulance, Barack Obama denounced the Senate this week for rejecting his flawed gun control legislation.
Of course, considering the slow-motion disaster that is his most defining act to date – ObamaCare – Americans should breathe a sigh of relief. Simply put, when Obama gets what he wants, it means calamity for everyone else.
But don’t take our word for it. This week, one of the most powerful Democrats in America called ObamaCare a “train wreck.”
Senator Max Baucus (D – Montana), who holds the high-profile position of Finance Committee chairman, told Obama’s Health and Human Services (HHS) Secretary Kathleen Sebelius that he is “very concerned” as the nation approaches ObamaCare’s implementation. “I just see a huge train wreck coming down,” Baucus told Sebelius, adding that, “You and I have discussed this many times, and I don’t see any results yet.”
“Small businesses have no idea what to do, what to expect,” Baucus added. “You need data. Do you have any data? You’ve never given me data. You only give me concepts, frankly.”
Ouch. And that’s from a man who cast a vote in favor of ObamaCare.
But he’s no anomaly.
While Baucus was scolding Sebelius this week, the United Union of Roofers, Waterproofers and Allied Workers announced that it was urging repeal of ObamaCare. Its announcement was remarkable for its hostility.
This runs parallel to news that. . .
Actually, it’s a combination of Obamacare and the immigration reform bill that has been introduced into Congress.
Under the terms of the immigration reform bill, nearly 11 million illegals will be granted a provisional legal status to live and work in the US. However, that legal status will mean that they will be considered to be the same as people classified as ‘not lawfully present’ under Obamacare.
The significance of this is that provisionally legal immigrants (still illegal in my book), are not required under Obamacare to obtain health insurance nor are they eligible for Obamacare tax credits. Employers who hire them will not be required to provide health benefits for them and the employers will not be penalized for not providing health coverage.
When you boil all of this down, employers will reap up to $3,000 in savings by hiring an illegal, oops, I mean a provisionally legal immigrant over hiring a US citizen

As for the cost of your health care? Thanks to ObamaCare, it will be going up. . . and that is by design. Remember, the goal of the monstrosity is to make health insurance so unaffordable that everyone will be forced into the government plan, and the private health insurance industry is destroyed.
Obamascare: Individual Plans on Exchanges May Rise More than 80%
The Society of Actuaries is estimating that the cost of individual plans on exchanges will rise more than 80% in some states in 2014. Surprised? Yeah, me neither.
The Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP!) last week discussed a study published in March by the Society of Actuaries (SOA) predicting that medical claims per member will rise 32 percent in the individual plans expected to dominate the Obamacare exchanges next year.
The SOA report said that in some states, the cost of the plans will rise as much as 80 percent.
