I was up at 3:15 this morning and as I pulled onto the freeway around 4:00 am lightning was brightening the otherwise dark sky. Rain began to pelt my windshield. Big ol' drops, the kind you normally only see during thunderstorms in the South.
The rain came and went, and the streets were dry at my destination, but in the distance I could still hear the rumbling of thunder.
I welcome the cool morning. Heat is only hours away.
