Because those Jew-loving infidels in the Gaza Strip are just a bunch of pussies:
Islamic State (ISIS) jihadists are setting their sites on Hamas, vowing in a new video that they'll "uproot" the Islamist terrorist organization in Gaza and install their own rule over the Palestinian enclave.
The Jerusalem Post reports the video appears to have been filmed in Syria, with militants accusing Hamas of "not being serious in all things related to the implementation of Islamic law" – and promising "what is today occurring in Syria and in the Yarmuk refugee camp, will happen in Gaza," referring to a Damascus district founded by Palestinian refugees.
Hamas is being challenged by dissenting terror cells in Gaza – some of whom have pledged allegiance to ISIS – and one analyst tells the New York Times their ranks have swelled from several hundred a few years ago to a few thousand among Gaza’s 1.8 million residents.
Like the self-styled caliphate, who control land in Iraq, Syria, the Sinai and Libya, the jihadist challengers to Hamas oppose the group's negotiations with Israel and its reconciliation with the Palestinian Authority in the West Bank.
In short, Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood from which it springs are too "moderate" - an odd description for years of pouring rockets and missiles into Israeli population centers - and, more to the point, Hamas keeps losing these periodic Gaza conflicts to the IDF, which insists on defending the Jewish State despite the demands of the "international community" that they sit passively back and let their people be slaughtered piecemeal. What's that old saying? "Success has a thousand fathers, but failure is an orphan," especially in so "strong horse" front-running a culture as Islam, ISIS has concluded that Hamas is a failure because they haven't been willing to do what it takes to "win" - which is to say, they haven't been remotely bloodthirsty enough and slaughtered nearly enough of the Jewish infidels, Like a losing NFL coach after back-to-back 2-14 seasons. Hamas is, in the Islamic State's estimation, the Rich Kotite of the Global Jihad.
Plus, as an added bonus, were ISIS to successfully supplant Hamas in Gaza, and then conquer Jordan, and finally capture Damascus, and given their already-existing presence in the Sinai, they would have Israel surrounded on every side except Hezbollah-controlled Lebanon - which is next on the Islamic State's "jihad consolidation" list,
That's more than just being a "thorn in the throat"; adding Gaza and Jordan to ISIS's existing territories (Iraq, Syria, the Sinai, Libya, Afghanistan), they would control the entire Middle East outside of its two nuclear powers, Iran and Pakistan. And the Islamic State may have already joined them in that exclusive "club".
And after they replace Hamas, they will presumably show them how it's done. Before or after they behead all the Hamastanis and the entire Gaza population.
Exit question: Will the "international community" demand that Israel recognize ISIS as its "partner in peace? Are you kidding?
