Nobody had a chance to read the Stimulus Package, and it turned out to be full of pork, and bad ideas. Now, as a result, the economy is tanking in ways even the Democrats didn't expect, and the Left is nationalizing the private sector without a problem.
The Climate Change bill that just passed the House, and will be going to the Senate next, wasn't read either. On top of that, in the final hours a 300 page amendment was added, and nobody read that either.
Now, Pelosi has declared that when it comes to the Health Care Bill, not only will they not be reading that either, the public isn't even allowed to sneak a peak.
So much for transparency.
The first question that comes to mind is, "Why?"
In the simplest explanation, they don't want you to read the garbage they are putting out as legislation because the Liberals don't want you to know what is in the bills - because if you knew, you'd realize what they are up to. And if you realized what they were up to, you'd kick them out of Washington - and the last thing these power-hungry Marxists desire, is to lose their grip on governmental power.
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has also declined to commit to giving the public a week to read and consider the final health care bill.
