Create a mythical, hysterical, ludicrously unscientific crisis premise; blame this mythical, hysterical, ludicrously unscientific "crisis" soley and entirely on capitalism and modern civilization; then proclaim the only way to avert this mythical, hysterical, ludicrously unscientific "crisis" is to abolish capitalism (and constitutional liberties and freedoms along with it) and roll civilization back to the primitivism, filth, pestilence, superstition, and misery of the Stone Age.
While, of course, exempting himself and the ruling elite, who by themselves can actually be sustained by government-subsidized windmills and sunbeams.
And with his pen, phone, and putter (i.e. the Three Branches of Government), Godbama is going to make it happen:
Barack Obama will impose even steeper cuts on greenhouse gas emissions from U.S. power plants than previously expected, senior administration officials said Sunday, in what the president called the most significant step the U.S. has ever taken to fight global warming.
Which isn't happening, but rather the planet is cooling towards a mini-ice age at the behest of a steady reduction in solar activity. Or, to put it another way, The One is laying the groundwork for millions of Americans to alternatively starve or freeze to death beginning little more than a decade from now, instead of ramping up the greenhouse effect before the deep freeze hits.
To put it still a third way, this is the most significant step that the U.S. has ever taken to fight capitalism and American prosperity.
A year after proposing unprecedented carbon dioxide limits....
I.e. Obama's parallel war on plants, which respire carbon dioxide. Ditto the bottom of the marine food chain, like plankton and coral. Or "Obama's war on Bikini Bottom".
Obama is poised to finalize the rule at a White House event on Monday. In a video posted to Facebook, Obama said the limits were backed up by decades of data showing that without tough action, the world will face more extreme weather and escalating health problems like asthma.
A complete, utter, and blatant lie.
"Climate change is not a problem for another generation," Obama said. "Not anymore."
And there's not a damn thing we can do about it, BECAUSE WE AREN'T CAUSING IT.
I'd mention that he has neither the constitutional nor legal authority to do any of this, but we passed that Rubicon years ago.
His prey recognize this as the greenstremist strategic nuclear doomsday it is. But some still don't get how to undertake their last stand self-defense:
Opponents vowed to sue immediately, and planned to ask the courts to put the rule on hold while legal challenges play out. Many States have threatened not to comply. [emphasis added]
"Many States" get what "opponents" do not. Using one branch of the federal government to try and restrain another branch of the federal government is like trying to teach a porcupine to masturbate; even if the porcupine wanted to pleasure itself, there would be a whole lot of collateral damage throughout the process. But practicing mass civil disobedience - "We, the People (directly and through the States, the holders of original authority) will not comply" - accomplishes one of two things: (1) It drains the tyrant's dictatorial power, or (2) it will trigger sufficient state-sanctioned violence that his despotism will be dragged out into the open light of public scrutiny beyond anybody's ability to miss it.
"Global warming" already has fallen off the issue priority polling lists, while "jobs" and "the economy" continue to top them. It's like I've said many times: environmentalism is a superficial, "feel-good" issue in which the public dabbles when everybody has jobs and is earning a good living and enjoying "the good life," however each chooses to define it. But when the economy is in the crapper and people haven't worked in almost two years or had any income at all for a year and a half and they're looking at a bleak future of poverty and want and uselessness and hopelessness and starvation and death, they, on balance, don't give a tinker's good shit about mythical, hysterical, ludicrously unscientific crises being pushed by a greedy, blind-guide ideological zealot with delusions of demidivinity.
But it doesn't matter what We, the People think, because the twenty-first century Moonwatcher is going to beat us to death with our own bleached femur bones anyway.
Or, I suppose, his putter.
For our own "good," of course.
UPDATE: No, that's not "racist," as that's what pagan animals like Barack Obama (and all his white counterparts) think is the origin of all of us. Unless leftwingnuts want to come out and admit that we are not, after all, descended from apes. Which, for them, would certainly be....awkward.
