We can play games about whether or not Israel belongs in the Middle East all we want. What I mean by this is there are many people out there that argue on the side of Palestine (Jimmy Carter included) accusing Israel of being oppressive against those poor Palestinians. Heck, Israel has even been accused of being guilty of committing apartheid as did South Africa against the native black citizens.
Fact is, the Jewish People were a race without a nation, and historically their land is in that region where they are now. The Jewish race was scattered by tyranny after tyranny after tyranny (Rome, Babylon, Assyria), and now, the Left (and Islam) claims that even though there is another tyranny that wishes them genocidally eliminated, this Islamic tyranny should still be able to take their land from the Jews as many tyrannies have before them. The Jews waited 2,000 years for the land to be returned to them.
Now, the Leftwingers will always resort to the American Indian analogy, but it doesn't work. The American Government allows the Indians to live on parts of their lands, outside state laws (federal land), autonomous from American control. Islam wouldn't even give the Jews that. They have constantly tried to annihilate Israel every step of the way. As for Israel's mistreatment of the Palestinians, let's look at where Hamas and Hezbollah comes from.
The Palestinian terror groups have a direct connection historically to Hitler through the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem was named Hajj Amin al-Husseini, the uncontested leader of the Palestinian struggle against Zionism. The Husseini Dynasty is the descendant of al-Hussein Ben Ali, the grandson of Muhammad. This family is regarded as the premiere Arab and Islamic household in world history. The Grand Mufti Hajj Amin was appointed by the British High Commissioner Sir Herbert Samuel, and Hajj Amin was devoted to driving Jews out of Palestine/Israel even if it set back the Arabs a thousand years.
In 1929, major Arab riots erupted against the Jews. The Grand Mufti falsely accused the Jews of defiling and endangering local mosques. After killing the Jews in Hebron the Grand Mufti disseminated photographs of slaughtered Jews with the claim that the dead were Arabs killed by Jews. In 1937 the Grand Mufti expressed solidarity with Germany, requesting from the Nazi Third Reich to oppose the establishment of a Jewish State, to stop immigration of Jews to Palestine, and to provide arms to the Arab population. Nazi Germany SS helped finance the Grand Mufti's efforts in the 1936-1939 revolt in Palestine. In 1940 the Grand Mufti asked Berlin for the right to exterminate Jews in Palestine and every Arab country. When Germany was defeated in 1945 the Grand Mufti moved to Egypt teaching his hatred for Jews to the Egyptians and his nephew, Yasser Arafat.
Yasser Arafat was a terrorist, murderer, liar, and a pedophile who was given the Nobel Peace Prize by the UN. The hatred of the Jews by the Grand Mufti, sponsored by Adolf Hitler and the Nazis, was passed on to the Islamo-fascists under Yasser Arafat, who terrorized Israel until his death. The heirs of the Grand Mufti, a la Arafat, are then the fathers of Hamas and Hezbollah, who have sworn to destroy Israel.
Now, here's one of the few differences between Nazism and Islamo-fascism: Germany surrendered when the massive war machine created by the allies defeated them on the field of battle. The Germans were not willing to be further slaughtered for a lost cause.
Members of Islam are instructed to kill anyone who does not believe Allah is the only God. To Islam, dying while fighting Christians and Jews is an honor and guarantees the martyr's place in heaven with 72 virgins. And here's the worst part: We are fighting a radical worldwide organization driven by religious fervor, and they are totally dedicated to our destruction. The Liberal solution to "cut and run" from Iraq would be perceived by Islamo-fascists as an absolute victory for their cause, and will paint us as weak in the eyes of the enemy, thus emboldening them to attack us again on our soil. American borders are so porous through mismanagement that terrorist sleeper cells are already in this country. According to Paul Williams, former FBI consultant, seven U.S. cities are already targeted by Islamic terrorists for nuclear suitcase bombs. New York, Miami, Houston, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Washington D.C.
Fact: Islam does not want us to be quiet, or to just simply pull out of the Middle East. They want us dead.
