The Fall of the Infallible

By Douglas V. Gibbs

What do politicians have in common with benevolent, superior, highly evolved aliens from outer-space? No matter how highly they regard themselves . . .

Cruising through the two-hundred and fifty plus channels available on my idiot box, maybe a dozen of which are watched more often than once per month, the remote control mercilessly settled on a television series about an alien race that has taken refuge on Planet Earth (how original!). I do not recall the name of the program, but I do remember it was on the SyFy Channel.

As far as I could gather the aliens were very advanced, and were willing to share their technology, and their highly evolved sense of reasoning, with the human race. They were above us in all ways, looked up to by our leaders. The alien race was unable to fall victim to the petty little concerns, or weaknesses, of the human race. . . or so they thought.

Unfortunately for the aliens their arrogance was a well presented lie. As it turned out, iodized salt was like a drug to them, stringing them out like heroin addicts. Hordes of the aliens were taking salt, doing whatever they could to get their hands on little fast food packets of salt, wasting their lives away as slaves to the almighty Morton.

Just goes to show, no matter how elite you think you are, there is always something to knock you off your perch.

When it comes to Democrats, it is their thirst to destroy the American Form of Government, and their thirst for power. It is a never ending need for more and more.
