The Truth About Climate Change Legislation

By Douglas V. Gibbs

From day one the environmental movement has been just another arm of the statists. The goal has nothing to do with climate, and everything to do with the Marxist idea of a redistribution of wealth.

The leftists of the world feel guilty for being prosperous, and would like to redistribute that wealth to the poorer countries, and control it all themselves - after all, despite their guilt, their greed for power is greater.

Evidence of their true intentions rings loud and clear with the statue created for the Copenhagen Conference. The statue, created by Danish artist Jens Galschiot, depicts a very fat white woman sitting on the shoulders of a very thin African man, and obviously refers to the rich countries of the world "feeding" off the poor countries. The title of the piece is The Survival of the Fattest.

In all their guilt, it escapes me that the left does not realize that America, and the other prosperous nations, have, in the words of Bill Wilson of Americans for Limited Government, "worked long and hard to produce the greatest progress the world has known. Instead of being rightly depicted as generous benefactors whose inventions and innovations have moved mankind from the caves to mountaintops, they are depicted as fat, ugly oppressors riding the back of those who, in reality, they have saved by the tens of millions the world over."

Amazing that all of this international climate bull crap rides on the back of lies and political aspirations, and the sheep that supports it can't see the truth through the scales over their eyes.
