Cold Weather and Global Warming

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Since last Wednesday there have been 1,246 record breaking weather events. Florida is suffering from intense cold, and the local growers are racing to save their crops. The Mississippi River is freezing over where it normally doesn't freeze. Many northern cities are reporting record snows and record cold temperatures. Beijing is having its coldest winter in 40 years and its biggest snowfall since 1951. Britain is suffering through its longest cold snap since 1981.

Climate Change supporters are claiming this doesn't disprove man-made global warming.

Of course they are going to say that. They have a lot invested in the myth of man-made global warming, and they aren't going to abandon their cash cow just because a few temperature gauges say it's cold.

As with other liberal policies, the Climate Change hysteria has nothing to do with weather, or the environment. Those behind the idiocy are in it for the power, and the money. If they can get you to buy into their scam, then they can control your energy usage, and the nation's productivity, and you will like it because they convinced you it is all so that they can save the planet.

Never mind scientific evidence that the sun plays a much larger part in global temperatures than our minuscule less-than-one-percent contribution to the green house gases in the atmosphere.

Climate Change legislation is designed to kill national sovereignty, and to place the energy use of the nations of the world into the hands of a few international progressive elitists.

What kind of idiots do they think we are? Are we going to hand over U.S. sovereignty to a bunch of bureaucrats that can't even keep terrorists off of airplanes, much less fix weather patterns that they have no control over? This is worse than the blind leading the blind. It is the corrupt leading the gullible.
