Flotilla Incident, Rabbi David Nesenoff, and Helen Thomas

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The world has decided that Israel should not defend herself. They call the Jews barbarous occupiers, and have criticized the Israeli Navy for daring to intercept a "humanitarian flotilla" headed towards the Gaza Strip. Never mind that evidence indicated the flotilla was anything but humanitarian, or that the Muslim ideology that populated the vessel wants nothing more than to see Israel wiped off the map. The main-extreme media won't ask why the flotilla was floating toward a military zone, nor do they consider Israel's heightened level of security, considering that Hamas (Gaza) is a self-declared enemy of Israel.

Israel is surrounded by the enemy. They are under attack constantly. One of Israel's biggest enemies, Iran, is seeking nuclear weapons, and Israel's biggest ally, the United States, is backing a UN resolution for a nuclear-free Middle East that singles out Israel, but leaves out Iran.

Israel is even getting hammered by the U.S. Press, or at least by anti-Semites like Helen Thomas, who told Israel to get the hell out of Palestine and go home to Poland and Germany.

Under these kinds of conditions, wouldn't any other nation have a blockade, and board questionable vessels in their waters?

By the way, Helen Thomas was criticized by her anti-Semitic remarks and wound up retiring under the pressure of the criticism. Rabbi David Nesenoff, the person who caught Helen Thomas' remarks on film, is under scrutiny as well over a video he did that made fun of Mexicans.

The interesting thing is that Rabbi David Nesenoff is being hounded for being politically incorrect. Hardly a reasonable comparison to the remarks by Helen Thomas that essentially recommended the end of the existence of a nation.

Think about it. David Nesenoff is under attack for parodying a people who has some members that support eliminating America's borders, claim that the American Southwest is occupied territory, whose illegal alien members are breaking American law, and whose illegal alien members are causing violence along the border zone. Helen Thomas is being criticized for telling Israel to be eliminated as a nation, to do nothing when their Muslim neighbors attack them, accused Israel of existing in occupied territory, and whose Muslim enemies are a constant source of violence along Israel's border zones.

The last time I checked, we are supposed to be looking out for our allies, especially when they are under constant attack by neighbors that literally wish to kill every last one of them. I don't believe we should be going around recommending their extermination.

Even our President is in on this. After all, the activist group involved with the Flotilla happens to be a radical group called "Free Gaza." Interestingly enough, the group has in its membership a bunch of Obama's pals (Bill Ayers, Bernadine Dohrn, and Jodie Evans who is the leader of the radical activist organization Code Pink).

Hmmm, that might sort of explain the main-extreme media's treatment of this story, aside from the fact they prefer to comfort the enemy (remember, Islamism is at war with the United States).
