The Republican Party was created for the purpose of eliminating slavery. The Civil Rights Act was supported by the Republican Party, and filibustered by the Democrats. Martin Luther King Jr. was a registered Republican. The Klu Klux Klan was created by the Democrat Party to be the militant arm of the party. Senator Robert Byrd, the longest serving Senator in history, was a member of the KKK, and even arose to the high level of "Exalted Cyclops" - he was a Democrat.
Conservative favorites among the Tea Party are names like Lloyd Marcus (Tea Party Express), Allen West (Florida Representative), Alan Keyes (Republican that ran against Obama in Illinois, noted constitutionalist), Herman Cain (2012 Presidential Candidate), Star Parker (conservative writer and activist), Alphonso Rachel (commentator and filmmaker), and the list goes on and on and on. . . and each of them are black.
The claims by various black leaders on the liberal side that the Tea Party is racist is an attack by a desperate ideology that knows the Tea Party has the leftists against the ropes. They can't argue the issues, so they resort to calls of racism.
What is interesting is the only time conservatives and Tea Party members talk about racism is when they have to respond to attacks of racism by the Left. Therefore, it seems to me that it is the liberal left that constantly has race on their mind. . . wouldn't that actually make them the racists?
