Kids Kissing Leads Principal to Call Authorities

UPDATE: After this story broke the police report and the information regarding this story came under fire. In fact, on the Rush Limbaugh show, after Rush brought up the story, one of the folks involved called into the show and told Rush that the principal did not call the police because of the kiss, but because of information that came up after the girl was interviewed after the kiss.

Fine.

My only thought is, why would they interview the girl because of a kiss? Is there more we are not being told?

Below is my post as it originally appeared:

File under You've Got To Be Kidding Me!

Remember, these people worried about the kids kissing are the same folks that support sex on TV, passing out condoms on campus, and underage girls having abortions without parental knowledge. . .

A school administrator in Florida called the sheriff after a pair of consenting 12-year-olds shared a kiss on the playground.

Lee County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Orange River Elementary School after two female students were debating over who liked a 12-year-old boy more. At that point, one of the girls walked over and kissed the boy – leading an assistant principal to call authorities.

While I generally like your blog, you're very wrong about this!!!!!
There is much more to the story.
It was only after the girl was interviewed that it was learned something was going on at her home that called for Child Welfare AND the police to be called.
As she's a minor, there's no details but it had nothing to do with her and a boy kissing in the gym.

Thank you, LV Cabbie, for your comment. At the time this story broke, the additional information about the order of events was not only not available, but even the original police report was inaccurate.

The hypocrisy did not surprise me, which is why I put this article out, and the source is a normally trusted one.

An update will be issued.
