Rezko's Guilt Reminds Us About The Truth of Obama

By Douglas V. Gibbs

A person from Obama's past has been sentenced. That's right, former Obama fundraiser Tony Rezko has been sentenced by a federal district court judge to ten years in prison. And if you will remember, Rezko was also the dude that enabled Barack Obama, who couldn't afford a house, to get into a very large house with creative financial pizzazz.

Rezko's sentencing follows his conviction of scheming to get kickbacks from the Chicago teachers union pension fund.

Just the kind of guy Obama tends to surround himself with.

Rezko was supposed to be sentenced several years ago, but made a deal he'd be a little help with Blagojevich. Apparently, his help was worthless, and so his prosecutors pushed for him to get 15 years. He's lucky he only got ten.

Obama paid under the asking price for his house, and then purchased a part of Rezko's lot under market value, thus satisfying the seller's requirement. Rezko fronted Barry the money, and now Rezko will be roommates with a whole new crowd.

This is the kind of people Obama hangs out with. Rezko the crook, Ayers the commie, and Wright the America-hating preacher.

Pretty much sums Barry up.
