Who Is Robert Davi?

By Douglas V. Gibbs

An easy face to recognize, but difficult to name.  One might ask, "Who is the guy from The Goonies that was singing opera in the abandoned restaurant?"  Or, "Who was the drug cartel villain in the James Bond Movie 'Licence to Kill?"  How about his roles in over 100 movies and television episodes?

Then, might I add, he sings, too!

I mentioned to Mr. Davi on the phone today that when I talk to people about him they know his face, but not his name.

"Yes," he said. "We need to change that."

Davi Sings Sinatra is doing so.  The voice of Davi is incredible.

Who would have thought that the nemesis of Chunk in The Goonies was such a talented singer?

Oh, wait, he was singing opera in the movie. . .

If you want to get to know Robert Davi a little better, Saturday afternoon, February 23rd, is your chance.  Robert Davi will be joining me on Constitution Radio on KCAA 1050 AM at 2:05 pm Pacific for a half hour interview that will be open to phone calls.  Call in at 888-909-1050, and listen live at KCAAradio.com.  We will be talking about his acting career, singing career, the perils of being a conservative in Hollywood, and his upcoming faith-based film "A Long Way Off" based on the Biblical Parable of the Prodigal Son.

Oh, and join my wife and I by getting tickets for the concert in Redondo Beach, California on March 23rd.
