Silencing Christianity to Enslave America

By Douglas V. Gibbs

As a nation founded through principles that find their foundations in Christianity, we have prospered.  Freedom exists in a moral society, where free action within the society is supported by a virtuous government that follows the rule of law.  When a society abandons their moral principles, and tosses aside a moral standard, the government will follow by failing to follow its own legal standard, such as the law of the land, the United States Constitution.

Within the Christian Faith the tyranny of man existed in organized religion.  The King of England was set up as the head of The Church, and as a result, persecution ensued.  The American Colonists of the northern colonies came to America to flee such tyranny in the church, seeking freedom of religion.  The delegates in the Constitutional Convention recognized the importance of the Christian Faith, and applied Biblical models to the creation of our government, while also checking the man-made aspect of religion that pushed colonists away from Europe, an established church.  The First Amendment is clear that no established religion at the federal level would be acceptable, but that also people of faith must be able to practice their religion freely, without governmental interference.  We were founded as a Christian Nation in the sense that Christianity influenced the framework of our system, and guided the hands of the founders, but the United States is not a Christian Nation in the sense of theocracy, or in a way similar to Muslim nations.

The importance of Christianity in the founding of this nation has been forgotten, and is now constantly being challenged.  Religion was not intended to be a controlling factor in government, and government was not intended to be a controlling factor over religion, but that did not mean the politicians could not pray, or that the churches should not be able to preach on politics.  An extreme has emerged, and those behind it seek to silence the very voices that were instrumental in creating this nation, and work to use government to remove the Christian Faith from the view of American Society.

In an article titled, "Silencing the Cavalry over Calvary," the Family Research Council reveals that the federal government is in full swing in their attempt to silence Christianity, and perhaps eliminate the last vestiges of the Christian Faith in the United States military.

The first part of the article centers around Mikey Weinstein, a consultant the Pentagon has been meeting with who is also an avid enemy of Christianity, comparing Christian evangelism to "rape."  The purpose of the meetings are to vet the Pentagon's new instructional guide on religious tolerance in the military.

Weinstein heads the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF), and has called evangelicals "fundamentalist Christian monsters," claiming he "vigorously supports the continuing efforts to expose pathologically anti-gay, Islamophobic, and rabidly intolerant agitators for what they are: die-hard enemies of the United States Constitution. Monsters, one and all. To do any less would be to roll out a red carpet to those who would usher in a blood-drenched, draconian era of persecutions, nationalistic militarism, and superstitious theocracy."

No Evangelical Christian has ever called for any of the ridiculous things Weinstein claims the church desires, and interestingly, historically, it is regimes, like communists, or the secularists behind the French Revolution, who claim to be anti-religious, that are most guilty of blood-drenched persecutions, nationalistic militarism, and a totalitarian system that Weinstein claims Christians want with a "superstitious theocracy."

The new military regulations, who it is believed Weinstein was behind, threatens to treat service members caught discussing their faith (witnessing) as enemies of the state. "Leaders at all levels," the document says, "must avoid the actual or apparent use of their position to promote their personal religious beliefs to their subordinates or to extend preferential treatment for any religion." Non-compliance, the Pentagon suggests, even from ordained chaplains could result in court-martialing on a case-by-case basis.

Larry Wilkerson, a board member for Weinstein's MRFF, has verbalized that sharing the Gospel is akin to rape. "Sexual assault and proselytizing are absolutely destructive of the bonds that keep soldiers together... This is a national security threat.  What is happening [aside from sexual assault] is spiritual rape. And what the Pentagon needs to understand is that it is sedition and treason. It should be punished."

The punishment for treason in America is death. Is Wilkerson suggesting that Christians caught witnessing about their Faith should be put to death for their actions?

These are the kind of people the Obama administration is not only meeting with, but taking counsel from.

It is evident that the federal government is full of, and are being influenced by, people with visceral hatred of conservative Christians.  And it is these people that are helping develop policies for how to deal with Christians in the military.

In a country slaughtering the unborn, snipping the spinal cords of crying surviving babies of botched late-term abortions, trying to force any opposition to the homosexual agenda into silence by ridicule and legal threats, and offering abortion in a pill to teenagers without parental consent, is this kind of attack against Faith a surprise?

But it doesn't stop there. . .

As Weinstein accuses Evangelical Christians of wanting a blood-drenched, draconian era of persecutions, nationalistic militarism, and superstitious theocracy, a system that truly does want that, Islam, is working through the United Nations to criminalize any and all criticisms of their political ideology masking itself as a religion.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is seeking through the United Nations general assembly to criminalize free speech and institute international blasphemy laws.

Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu, secretary-general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), said the international community should “come out of hiding from behind the excuse of freedom of expression”, a reference to Western arguments against a universal blasphemy law that the OIC has sought for over a decade.

The direct goal is to persuade the United States to subvert our first amendment to an agenda more inline with principles of Islam, which would silence any opposition to Islam.

In Muslim countries, the penalty for blasphemy against Islam is often the death penalty.

Christianity in America is under assault by many fronts, with the liberal left democrats and Islam leading the charge.

The assault against Christian principles is a direct assault against God, and in the attempt to silence the church, morality has gone completely out the window.  An NBA player stating he is gay is receiving applause, and an ESPN analyst who was honest about believing the sexual lifestyle is a sin is being chastised.  In California, legislation seeking to silence opposition against homosexuality has even classed pedophilia with being gay as being a sexual orientation.

The envelope never stops being pushed.  Rome collapsed from within, from corruption, tyranny, and moral degradation.  In America, that decay has advanced quickly, thanks to the creeping incrementalism of progressivism, also known as liberalism, an ideology rooted in the anti-American teachings of people like Karl Marx, Saul Alinsky, and Jean Jacques Rousseau.
