D-Day Anniversary

Today is the anniversary of the Normandy Invasion during World War II, which was a turning point in the war.  The first phase was an airborne assault shortly after midnight, followed by an amphibious landing of Allied infantry and armored divisions on the coast of France starting at 6:30 am.  9,000 Allied Soldiers were killed or wounded -- but more than 100,000 Soldiers began the march across Europe to defeat Hitler.  We were victorious because we were relentless.  They gave their lives for the freedoms of people they didn't even know, and they just kept coming, until eventually the Germans could not defend against them any longer.

Even the impossible can be won.
