Lone Ranger: A Good Movie That Suffers At The Box Office

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The other day I watched the new Lone Ranger movie with Johnny Depp, and I have to say, I found it a very fun, and positive, movie. . .

Which probably explains the difficulty it is having in theaters.

If one can set aside reality for a moment when it comes to some of the antics of the horse, Silver, and if one can remember back in the day when the Lone Ranger rode on the screen of our televisions, then this movie is a great way to spend a couple hours.  It has action, humor, and a lot of nostalgia.

Which is why it is faring so poorly.

Those that want to see wholesome, fun flicks don't go to the movies anymore.  Hollywood has disappointed those viewers with the crap they usually shovel out at us.  This movie doesn't put down America, or praise the government, so why would today's younger, indoctrinated kids like it?

Just saying.

Oh, and remember the musical theme from the old show?  It finds its way into the movie, too.

It is a better movie than the media says.  It is a better movie than the numbers say.  Go, and find out for yourselves.
