Obama Rodeo Clown Reveals Gutless Nature of Democrats. . . and Republicans

By Douglas V. Gibbs

The Obama rodeo clown incident sickens me. A President depicted as a clown is nothing new. Bush was often depicted as a clown, Reagan was, and haven't you ever heard of our fearless leaders called "The Clowns in Washington"?

At a rodeo in Missouri a rodeo clown came out into the arena with an Obama mask on, intending to mock the current White House resident.  The crowd went wild, and something worse than political correctness kicked into high gear.

The liberal left media, and Democrat politicians, have gone off the deep end.  They are angry at the disrespect, and apparently horrible racism, that rodeo clown exhibited.   And thanks to all of the hullabaloo, the rodeo clown has lost his job, and is banned from his profession for life.  People are resigning, investigations are being launched, and people who practice the freedom of political speech are nervous.

What?  Is this guy king? Is our President some kind of prophet that descended from heaven on a flying donkey with a holy sepulcre in his hand?

Barack Obama is getting the kind of defense from his minions that we only see afforded to two-bit dictators in banana republics, or Muslim countries.

Is our President's feelings so dainty that he can't handle a little confrontation?

I appreciate the bullies of the world.   It is the idiocy of bullies, the deluge of criticism, and being made fun of that gives us the intestinal fortitude to handle what life dishes out to us.  I don't get offended. Why would I grant that kind of power to someone over my emotions?

As I like to quip regarding my conservative punditry, "If I am not pissing off the Left, I am doing something wrong. "And I fully expect those idiots to dish it right back.

Obama is not some godly character that must be defended if the opposition makes him look cartoonish.  Suck it up.

The Democrats didn't seem to worry about anybody's feelings when they were dishing it out on Bush, Palin, Romney, Reagan, Bork, and a whole host of other GOP cast members.

The Republicans are showing how gutless they are, too.  Where's their response? Why aren't they pointing out the obvious hypocrisy of the whole thing?

Sickening.
