Well, the Independent Journal-Review thinks it's inflammatory. I think it's one of the most hilarious pieces of amateurish trash I've ever seen.
Take a look for yourself:
And to think that that party used to be master propagandists. This doggerel wouldn't even make it as youtube poop.
Oh, sure, it checks off every box on the standard Donk sneer list: Republicans are "terrorists" - check; Republicans want to "deny Americans healthcare" - check; Republicans want to de-fascize the financial sector - check; Republicans want to build the Keystone pipeline to force all Americans to drown in their fossil fuel poisons - check; Republicans want to "cut taxes on the rich and raise taxes on the middle class" - check. The last three aren't at issue in the shutdown, of course, and the first one is yet another extended middle finger, but I suppose DWS had a full thirty seconds to fill and pretty much no positive ObamaCare mule fritters to excrete into it. And it's not like they can trumpet O's latest ante-upping obnoxiousness, an order to begin the closing of U.S. coastal waters to American citizens.
What I can't figure out is what else besides raging hatred could be motivating such puerile bilge. I know Obamunists really believe it from the bottom of their black, oily hearts, but this spot can only produce two reactions in everybody else: increased anti-Regime anger, or hysterical laughter (ooh, my sides STILL ache). Frankly, if this were any other past Dem White House, even Clinton, I would call this the fear-stink of panicked desperation, of a party that knows its PR position is collapsing and is lashing out in frustration. But False Messiah and his disciples are incapable of such self-candor; and I suspect even the latter aren't truly, fully aware of just how far their Infernal Majesty is willing to go.
Meanwhile, Republicans are calmly, patiently, reasonable telling the public the truth. The contrast really is akin to chicken salad versus chicken crap. Which may prove to be the difference in Shutdowngeddon - if public opinion still matters.
