Visits To ObamaCare Site Plummet

by JASmius

Which is to say, the looky-loos who drove slowly by the multi-car pileup on the off chance that the first responders would move the bodies a little closer because they'd never seen a man shaped in quite that manner have now seen the bodies and driven away:

Visits to the Obamacare website have dropped by 88% in the two weeks since the online health-insurance exchanges were launched October 1, according to an independent analysis.

The analysis also revealed that of the 9.4 million unique visitors to HealthCare.gov during the first week, about one-third tried to register and only 1.01 million completed registration.

According to the Washington Post, roughly 36,000 consumers successfully signed-up for a government-backed insurance plan after enrolling, but 99.6% of all visitors to the site did not enroll.

"Unfortunately, what started as a fire hose of interest, resulted in only a small trickle of actual healthcare enrollments," said Matthew Pace, vice president of Millward Brown Digital, the nonpartisan research firm that conducted the analysis of Obamacare site visitors.

"It’s no surprise that media organizations are having such a difficult time finding anyone who has actually enrolled and why the administration has been so reluctant to share enrollment statistics with the public," he said.
Ah, but they are willing and eager to continuing churning out their insistent propaganda mendacities:

Administration officials say the figures in the report are inaccurate, the Post reports, but the Department of Health and Human Services, which operates the site, still refuses to release official enrollment figures.

"HealthCare.gov received 14.6 million unique visits in the first 11 days, showing the intense demand for quality, affordable health insurance," Health and Human Services Department spokeswoman Joanne Peters told the Post in an email.

"While traffic is down somewhat from its peak on Day One, it remains high as Americans continue to seek to learn more about their new coverage options."

Uh-huh.

Now that Shutdowngeddon has ended where it was always headed - the Democrats successfully defended ObamaCare, the Republicans successfully defended the Sequester - John Boehner can finally disembark from the Hot Cone of Agony and the Obama Regime can be shoved into it as they spin every more furiously a healthcare "reform" law that collapsed before it could ever get its hands around the private health insurance market's throat and combusts every aspect of what drew so many new voters to the Democrat Party in 2008.

If the Ted Cruz's of the world are true acolytes of the rightwing cause, they'll sheath their Long Knives, get out of the way and let this hypercane of public anger fall upon those who precipitated it.
