Elizabeth Warren For President?

by JASmius

The New Republic says Hillary Clinton should be afraid of Elizabeth Warren in the upcoming Democratic primaries. Will the Massachusetts Senator ruin Hillary Clinton's chances in 2016? Will the Democratic Party run on the "war on women" meme successfully? Click to watch Bill Whittle, Scott Ott and Steve Green discuss.

Well, I'm gratified to see that Messrs. Whittle, Ott, and Green are all on my page regarding Mrs. Clinton being staler than furry rye bread that has ascended several rungs up the evolutionary ladder (if there was such a thing - the ladder, not the hairy baked goods).

As for Fauxcahantas, I'm dually tempted, but in opposite directions.  The stubbornly rational part of my massive brain insists that not even today's Democrat Party could be so insane, after the free-fall into which ObamaCare has sent its "brand," as to nominate another loopy, hard-Left Marxist ideologue riding another apocalyptic horse of caustic, divisive, tyrannical identity politics.  Surely, goes this line of reasoning, they'll be exhausted by the Obama years and will take a breather by tacking in a more conventional direction with someone that actually has executive experience and Clinton connections - namely, by-then two-term New York Governor Andrew Cuomo.  However, my ingrained cynicism tells me that yes, today's Democrat Party has lost its collective(ist) mind, in which case, and in the classic Marxist tradition of each fellow-traveler believing that socialism will work if only they are in charge of it, they will indeed opt for fresh Alinskyoid blood with the junior senator from Massachusetts.

For my dime, Cuomo I would take seriously as a general election opponent; but Rodham or Warren?  Governors Walker or Christie could begin making Oval Office redecorating plans before the first debate.

Of course, I think O will have pulled his coup long before any 2016 campaign can get off the ground, so to me this is all an academic exercise.  But y'all already knew that.
