Of course the IRS scandal is real. But therein lies the insidious genius of Marxism-Alinskyism. Because Ms. Mitchell is a conservative activist, anything she says is automatically suspect in the ears of LIVs, motivated as it purportedly "must" be by "self-evident racism". Ditto every Republican who dares question anything O says or does or any radical extremist policy he unconstitutionally implements. And there's nowhere for us to go on this, either - if we retreat in order to demonstrate that the smears are false, we're...well, retreating; and if we go on the offensive, we're "corroborating" the smears.
I have never said that I don't sympathize with the Tea Party instinct to "fight, fight, fight!"; I emphatically do. But I'm also a realist, and the reality is that the Left has beaten us, and did so in ways of which we were not even aware before we even knew what was happening. Put another way, we've been disarmed in the ideological war, and thus our most strenuous efforts are guaranteed to come to naught, if not be disastrously counterproductive, until after the abject and objective endgame of collapse and chaos arrives. And by then it will be even more too late than it is already.
Yet "let us run with endurance the race that is set before us," not because "virtue is its own reward" - it isn't - or out of any expectation of short or even long term accomplishment - both of which are highly unlikely - but because it's the right thing to do.
Besides, look on the bright side: it won't be very much longer until we look back on things like the IRS scandal fondly as a time of freedom and liberty. So why not enjoy merely being raped by the IRS while we still can?
