Dick Morris: Red Barry Is Running Away From ObamaCare

by JASmius

Well, that's one way to look at it:

Political strategist Dick Morris says the fact that President Barack Obama did nothing more than issue a written statement to mark the fourth anniversary of his healthcare reform law on Sunday is telling.

"It explains how radioactive healthcare is when he'd rather talk about his humiliation and inaction in the Ukraine as opposed to the anniversary of his signature achievement, healthcare. The fact is that he's running as far away from healthcare as he can," he told Newsmax TV's John Bachman and J.D. Hayworth on "America's Forum" on Monday.

There is something to be said for this theory.  It can be distilled down to two words: Obama's ego, which heretofore has been functionally infinite.  His namesake is his greatest achievement - not in improving and universalizing what had heretofore been the greatest health care on the planet, but in ruining and nationalizing it (pardon the redundancy).  It was an accomplishment not for or on behalf of the American people, but for and on behalf of the altogether foreign ideology of Marxism, which has triumphed in the one-time land of the free and home of the brave.  Something neither Hitler nor Tojo nor Mao nor Stalin or any of his Soviet successors ever managed to attain - the conquest of the United States of America - Barack Obama has, and ObamaCare is his eternal monument to it.

So why isn't he bragging about it like he used to?  Hard to say.  It could be that he really was surprised at its failure to ever catch on with the hoi palloi and is trying to keep it as low a profile as possible to minimize Democrat losses in this fall's midterms.  It could even be that he really thought it would work as advertised and has been worn down to the point of genuine embarrassment at what an unmitigated Charlie-foxtrot it's become.

My take is that he's keeping his eyes on the ultimate prize - namely, what the overarching purpose of ObamaCare was: to permanently entrench socialism, and its captive U.S. political party, in power forever.  Yes, the absence of mass, swooning public worship festivals is painful right now, but once he's canceled elections, burned the Constitution in the Rotunda of the Capitol itself - thus making symbolically official what's been in fact the case for over five years, now - and is free to order mass, swooning public worship festivals at machine gun-point, these crushing burdens and massive sacrifices will all have been worth it.

And to think some people actually believe that O can't defer a little gratification.

Meanwhile, it is not, in fact, the Toe-Sucker that has the White House vexed today:

Internet heavyweight Matt Drudge has angered the White House for saying that he’s just paid his Obamacare tax for 2014 in his quarterly estimates.

On Twitter, he declared in a March 21st post, "Just paid the ObamaCare penalty for not 'getting covered'...I'M CALLING IT A LIBERTY TAX!"

According to Investors.com, 22 minutes later, White House spokesman Jesse Lee hit back with a tweet saying, "Flat lie. No fee for previous year."

Drudge, who runs the online Drudge Report, is attempting to make the point that the owners of small businesses like him have to pay their estimated quarterly taxes during 2014 with any outstanding taxes being paid by April 15th, 2015.
And that includes the Individual Mandate penalty for THIS year, you dumbbleep.  Taxes are ALWAYS assessed in arrears; that's why they're called ESTIMATED tax payments, bleepheels.

I guess Drudge hasn't lost his touch for hitting the Regime in its most tender spots.

What amazes me, though, is that there are numbnuts like this Jesse Lee who display their aggrieved ignorance online for the entire planet to see and actually earn their living from doing so.  Sheesh, where do I go to submit THAT application?
