Democrats Target Scott Walker with Criminal Accusation

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker is my hero.  He used conservative strategies to turn around the State's economic woes, in a blue State, surviving election, and a recall effort.  The liberal left attacks what they fear, therefore, the attacks against Scott Walker will never end.  Now, it is an accusation of being involved in a criminal election scheme.  Even if they can't make anything stick, the Left knows that the mere act of leveling an accusation against him will get enough people to turn away from him.  They want to dislodge him from his governorship, and they wish to derail any chance that he may run for federal office, including the presidency.

The Associated Press article doesn't even use the word "allegedly."  The opening sentence reads: "Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, a potential 2016 Republican presidential candidate, took part in a nationwide criminal scheme to coordinate fundraising with conservative groups, prosecutors said in court documents unsealed Thursday."

No charges have been filed, no proof has been offered, on evidence is even known, yet, but the AP was quick to jump on this.  If they couldn't get him out of office with a ridiculous recall attempt, they are trying to use a legal angle.  Never mind that Wisconsin has been better off due to Walker's policies.  This has nothing to do with what is best for Wisconsin, or the country.  It is all about agenda, and destroying anyone who dares to stand against leftism, and the labor unions.

Obey the liberal left agenda, or be destroyed.

The investigation in question, according to the AP, began in 2012.  The probe has been on hold, until right before an election. . . hmmmm. Coincidence?

The accusation is illegal fundraising and coordination with national political groups and prominent Republican figures, including GOP strategist Karl Rove, and including filing false campaign-finance reports.

Walker says his campaign's position has already prevailed twice in court, and is not concerned about the final ruling.

"I'm not asking people to take my word for it, or political allies," the governor said. "I'm saying look at two independent judges, at both the state and federal level, who did not buy those arguments and were rather aggressive in telling those folks to stop proceeding with that because they didn't think it was right."

It is not about winning the case.  It is about making sure the accusation is in the media so that people can turn away from Walker.  It is the usual liberal left strategy of personal destruction.  They lost in the arena of politics, and they lost in the arena of ideas, so they are playing dirty, trying to sway public opinion with false accusations.
