Europe is changing course, realizing that multi-culturalism destroys societies. The United States became prosperous precisely because it has made sure it was nothing like any other system in the world. That is what makes America exceptional. We have been the exception to the rule.
The liberal left sees that as evil, and wants to make us more like Europe, the nations that have held on to a certain amount of authoritarianism that was introduced by the Roman Empire after it abandoned its roots of republicanism, and the heavy hand of the once powerful and controlling Catholic Church.
The English Speaking colonies did not follow the authoritarian system of mainland Europe, but instead drew a line between them and the Roman Empire. The Saxon system of freedom through individualism on the island nation of Great Britain led to the Magna Carta, the Glorious Revolution, the English Bill of Rights, and ultimately to the system of freedom launched in the United States of America.
The ancient line between the Saxons and the Roman Empire exists in North America, too. It is drawn at the border between Mexico and the United States.
The Mexican People are used to being told what to do, by The Church, and an authoritarian government. Though they may be often conservative in their social views, they naturally gravitate towards the Democrat Party because it is more in line with their view of what a government should be. That is why it is dangerous to continue to allow the flow of illegal aliens into our country to remain as it is. Unfortunately, our politicians are blinded by votes, power, and money. They have been convinced that they must give us amnesty. Amnesty, however, is suicide. . . not only for the GOP, but for our American system of individual-centric freedom, as well.
