U.S. Holding Secret Talks With Hamas

by JASmius

....and I'm going to go way out on a limb and guess that these "secret talks" were concealed from Hamas's Israeli "partners in 'peace'" as well.

Bebe Netanyahu will be so pleased:

U.S. officials have reportedly been engaged in discreet talks with Hamas for more than six months over the designated terrorist group's participation in the Palestinian Authority's new unity government....
"Topics included the cease-fire agreement with Israel and the recently formed unity government between Hamas and Fatah," BuzzFeed reports.

Oh, I bet those weren't the only topics of "discussion".

"Our administration needed to hear from them that this unity government would move toward democratic elections and toward a more peaceful resolution with the entire region," a U.S. official "familiar with the talks" told BuzzFeed.

"Democratic elections" means "ensuring Hamas's takeover of the Palestinian 'unity' government.  "A more peaceful resolution" - note the qualifier "more" - means "facilitating the evacuation of the Jews from 'Palestine' (aka Hamastan) without killing all of them".  And I'm absolutely certain that the Obama Regime will take Ismail Haniyah's word on it all.  Because, after all, if you can't trust a bloodthirsty, Naziesque, Jew-hating jihadist who's been pouring rocket fire into Israeli border towns daily for almost a decade, well gosh darn it, who can you trust?

Certainly not....well, the Obama Regime:

The news site says the official "spoke on condition of anonymity, as the U.S government's official stance is that it has not, and will not, talk to Hamas until certain preconditions are met."

"It was important to have that line of communication," the official told BuzzFeed.

"These assertions are completely untrue," State [Commissariat] deputy spokesman Marie Harf told BuzzFeed. "There is no such back channel. Our position on Hamas has not changed."

If the report is true, it contradicts repeated claims by the Obama administration that, to its knowledge, Hamas officials are not actively part of the unity government.

Because, of course, the Obamunists are so honest and trustworthy that they would never tell a lie about anything, and certainly not about something that could affect and potentially endanger the lives of thousands of innocent people, would they?

Would they?

Yup:

The Israeli government has flatly refused to accept such a position.

"You cannot present it internally as a Hamas government and present it on the outside as a technocrats' government," Israeli Intelligence Minister Yuval Steinitz told Army Radio, the Jerusalem Post reports.

"If these people are identified with Hamas, or are people with whom Hamas identifies and were appointed by Hamas, then these are Hamas representatives," Steinitz said.

"I'm deeply troubled by the announcement that the United States will work with the Palestinian government backed by Hamas," Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told the Associated Press on Tuesday, saying the group has murdered "countless innocent civilians."

But remember, they murdered the correct civilians - Jews, or "the obstacles to 'peace'" - so that makes it right.

C'mon, you didn't really think that John Kerry had given up on his twisted dream of finishing die Endlösung der Judenfrage Adolph Hitler started, did you?  He's got that piece of paper to capture so O can wave it on the steps of Air Force One.  And anyway, this Regime is simply addicted to negotiating with, and surrendering to, rabid jihadists.

If the Hamastanis can stomach being publicly described as "technocrats" for long enough, their dream of a "cleansed Palestine" should be home-free.

Bebe notwithstanding, of course.
