Ferguson, Missouri: An Excuse To Be Criminals

by Douglas V. Gibbs

As the fires of Ferguson burn on, and the facts about what has been happening emerge, it is becoming clear that the flames are being fanned by Black Nationalism, and the liberal left's desire for a crisis.  These are the same flames that destroyed Detroit, and vaulted people like Louis Farrakhan, Jeremiah Wright, and Barack Obama into prominence.  Fears of being called racist has police standing back... or is it preparation?  If they stand back enough, people will begin to demand they take action, demand that they put on their gear, and demand that Ferguson become a police state.

At what point does the lines begin to blur?  Where is the line for law enforcement?  They need to keep the peace, yet if they do, the public officials are accused of militarizing the police, and "over-reacting."  Should they let these people, these protesters, these criminals, burn down their city?

Another thought.  Yesterday, I wrote about store owners protecting their businesses with their own guns.  What options would these store owners have if the liberal left succeeded in their gun control aims and took away everyone's firearms?  If the store owners could not protect their own property, who would?

A lack of privately owned firearms invites the necessity of a stronger police presence, and stronger police force. . . a police state.

I believe this chaos is being taken advantage of.  The democrats tell us they are trying to put out the fire, but the liquid they are throwing on it is gasoline.  They want the burning, and the looting.  The liberal left democrats need the fire to burn bright.  They need crisis, because during the chaos of crisis, they can put into place their heavy hand of government, control, and tyranny.

Democrat Congressman Lacy Clay took a bullhorn and told protesters, "They have attempted to taint the investigation. They are trying to influence a jury pool by the stunt they pulled today," thus encouraging more unrest. He should be charged with inciting rioting.  Interestingly, Clay also recently voted against an amendment to a bill that would limit military surplus transfers to local cops. . . and yet is now accusing the police of being too militarized.
