God's Hand on Israel Reveals Itself In Iron Dome Defense

By Douglas V. Gibbs

Ezekiel, Chapter 38, in the Holy Bible tells us of leaders around Israel devising an evil plan, and that God will oppose these attackers of Israel with fury, anger, and blazing wrath.  A great horde will rise against Israel like a storm, like a cloud covering the land, and every sword will be raised against Israel.

Many scholars believe Ezekiel 38 represents a battle for Israel that will usher the world into the Great Tribulation, while others view the war in Ezekiel 38 as being a telling of the Battle of Armageddon.  Regardless of what it symbolizes, the nations listed as coming against Israel in that chapter of Ezekiel are today all Muslim (there is some dispute over if Magog is Russia, Turkey, or the former southern Soviet Republics northeast of Turkey and Iran - the two latter of which are today Muslim regions), and today each and every one of them are poised to move against Israel.  Some are already in an active campaign against Israel.  The storm clouds are gathering, and many folks believe what is going on in the Middle East, right now, is setting the world up for the final confrontation.

Regardless of if this is the final battle, or one of many before we get there, the reality is that Israel, once again, has become the center of attention, and is being demonized for daring to defend against the attacks.  The battle in Ezekiel will be so fierce that the planet will physically shake, Swords will be turned inward so that the enemy forces will begin fighting each other, natural disasters will be included in the chaos, and there will be extensive collateral damage.  The Bible even says that among the weapons used will be disease - an expected kind of scenario of biological attack or chemical warfare you could see from Islamic nations, as we saw Saddam Hussein once use against the Kurds, and the Syrian leadership allegedly used against its own people.

The devastation will be beyond compare in human history.

Whether we are currently approaching that, or if what is currently going on is a smaller battle we must endure on our way to Ezekiel 38's conflict, one thing remains clear - God's hand is still on Israel.

The Bible also says that "all nations will see" what has happened.  At the very end of Ezekiel 38, the text says something that ties into a recent development.  It reads: "I will magnify Myself, sanctify Myself, and make Myself known in the sight of many nations; and they will know that I am the LORD."

God's impact on the great battle will be so ominous, that there will be no denying that it was the God of Israel that intervened.

A couple days ago, in line with all of what is going on, and the text we read in Ezekiel 38, a very fascinating thing happened.

A Hamas rocket was on its way to killing hundreds of Israeli civilians.  The Iron Dome defense, a system of defensive rockets that Israel uses to protect itself against incoming missiles, which is normally pretty accurate, missed the incoming rocket...twice.  For these interceptors to miss a target is very rare.

Shocked, the Israeli Defense Force took the next measures they must take, with only four seconds before the incoming rocket was supposed to hit either the Azrieli Towers, the Kirya (Israel’s equivalent of the Pentagon) or [a central Tel Aviv railway station].  They notified emergency services to converge on the target location and had warned of a mass-casualty incident.

Suddenly, as tracked by the Iron Dome defense system, a major wind came in from the east, a strong wind that pushed the incoming missile off course, sending it into the sea.

As reported by IJ Review, If Hamas would have succeeded with the missile strike, it would have been the worst terrorist attack in Israel’s history.  The miracle of a perfectly timed sudden rush of wind saved hundreds of people's lives.

God is making Himself known.
