"There Are ISIS Sleeper Cells In This Country"

by JASmius

Did you ever think you would see a jihadist arms race?  It's like two alpha jackals vying for the privilege of dining on America's self-desiccated carcass:

The Islamic State (ISIS) is competing with al-Qaida and could easily attack the United States to establish itself as the world's most dangerous terrorist group, retired Air Force Gen. Michael Hayden told Newsmax on Thursday.

"I would imagine that both of them are trying to prove their credentials as Islamic Fundamentalist Organization #1 by conducting a successful attack in the West, if not in the United States," Hayden, who directed both the National Security Agency and the FBI, said in an interview.

Indeed.  Given that al Qaeda is already up by a field goal in this particular contest, I'd say ISIS has some ground to make up.

Good thing for Mr. al-Baghdadi that America has lost more than a little off its proverbial fastball:

Therefore, the United States must be ready — defensively and offensively — to destroy the militant group.

Well, we're screwed.

"We try to identify people who may have gone there and are coming back to Europe or the United States," Hayden explained. "But getting ready is offense. Rather than letting them sit there and plan to threaten my survival, we need to make them start spending an awful lot of time thinking about their own survival."

Sounds an awful lot like "We must fight them over there so we don't get attacked by them here."  I seem to recall President George W. Bush formulating that strategery.  Which is why we will never be ready, defensively or offensively, because Barack Obama will never, ever admit his blanket error on the core issue on which he ran for dictator.  He'd sooner forfeit to ISIS the privilege of beheading every Republican, conservative, Tea Partier, constitutionalist and Christian in this country.  Will.  Not.  Happen.

But the countervailing artifice, for some reason, must be maintained, evidently:

At the Pentagon, Hagel warned the well-financed, heavily armed ISIS was an "imminent threat" to "every interest we have."

After almost six years of Barack Obama's vicious, corrupt, totalitarian misrule, we don't have many interests left, actually.  Which I guess would make Hagel's task easier.

"They are as sophisticated and well-funded as any group that we have seen," he said at the session with Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin Dempsey. "They're beyond just a terrorist group."

"This is beyond anything we've seen," he quickly added. "We must prepare for everything."

Both Hagel and Dempsey said that the Pentagon was pursuing a long-term strategy against ISIS, stressing that the group must be defeated in both Baghdad and Syria.

"We continue to explore all options," Hagel said, when asked whether the United States would consider expanding the U.S. mission into Syria.

You might have almost had me, Chuck, until that last sentence.  Any variation of the phrase "All options on the table" from this Regime means "all the options we're never going to employ".  Most especially military action.  So I'm logically presuming that John Kerry will be jetting to Mosul to try and set up a summit meeting between O and Mr. al-Baghdadi where a "peace process" can be initiated.  It'll be much easier than brokering Israel's refusal to surrender to Hamas since there'll be no significant U.S. "fire" to "cease."  James Foley's severed head will see to that, after all.

I'm not kidding.  I get back to a comment of mine from yesterday: None of this had to happen.  The culpability for this disaster is even more cut & dried than was al Qaeda's rise to global power.  Democrats went to extraordinary lengths to try to blame 9/11 on President Bush - it was the raison d'etere of the so-called "9/11 Commission" - but as I said at the time, "Eight years trumps eight months".  Osama bin Laden's transnational jihadist organization rose entirely during the Clinton years, the Clinton Regime knew all about that rise, and did precisely nothing to even slow it down, unless you count a couple of tardy and comical cruise missile sorties in Sudan and Afghanistan, respectively.

But whereas Sick Willie did nothing to prevent al Qaeda's road to 9/11, Barack Obama made ISIS.  He inherited a pacified (as much as humanly possible) Iraq and Middle East from President Bush.  He threw all of that away by reversing all of Bush's successful Middle East policies, most specifically by abandoning Iraq, and also by encouraging the spread of jihadist rule across the region (aka the "Arab spring"), causing the (temporary) fall of Egypt to the Muslim Brotherhood, the fall of Libya to al Qaeda, and seeding the Syria "civil war" that proved to be ISIS's incubator.  And he ordered the release of Mr. al-Baghdadi five years ago.

If not solely and specifically for Barack Hussein Obama, the Islamic State would not exist.

And they would not already be in position to vastly improve upon al Qaeda's North American offensive:

A former CIA officer said Thursday he has no doubt Islamic State (ISIS) sleeper cells are already planted on U.S. soil.

An unnamed U.S. intelligence official told CNN there's already an indication of ISIS sleeper cells in Europe that could target U.S. embassies and other American interests.

But former CIA officer Bob Baer told the network ISIS is already on this side of the Atlantic.

"I have been told with no uncertainty there are ISIS sleeper cells in this country," he said.

So it's not at all surprising that the Obama Regime is pooh-poohing that certainty:

Though CNN said two U.S. officials had refuted the claim, they're worried ISIS militants with passports might travel to the United States to launch attacks on American soil, CNN reported.

Because, you know, it might disrupt Red Barry's personal PGA Tour.

One ISIS fighter already has hinted as much.

In several telephone conversations with a Reuters reporter over the past few months, Islamic State fighters suggest their leader, Iraqi Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, is planning something for the West – and that attacks could take place through sleeper cells in both Europe and the United States.

“The West are idiots and fools," one fighter taunted, according to Reuters. "They think we are waiting for them to give us visas to go and attack them or that we will attack with our beards or even Islamic outfits.

"They think they can distinguish us these days – they are fools and more than that they don’t know we can play their game in intelligence. They infiltrated us with those who pretend to be Muslims and we have also penetrated them with those who look like them."

That jihadist is correct - we are idiots and fools.  Or, rather, sixty-two million of us are.  Why?  Because that 52% twice elected as our Supreme Leader a man who is the staunchest, most reliable ally of every last Islamic unholy warrior on the planet, and who will spare no effort to ensure that the Global Caliphate lays waste to every last surviving U.S. interest, including the lives of his jeghpu'wI' population.

Sound harsh?  Remember the imperativity of the Obama Rule:

1) Barack Obama is always right (because he's, you know, god);

2) If Barack Obama is ever wrong, refer to point #1.

Recall that adage about elections having consequences?  They've only begun.
